Summary: This unit broke multiple times ahd was sent back twice they sent me someone elses unit back last time and it was all scratched up. It broke again. The only way to get the tray to open to put in a disk is to use the remote as the buttons on the unit it self don't work. Lousy unit and difficult to get the surround sound to work with the tv. My Phillips unit is far superior.
doesn't play blurays, Samsung Support could care less

Summary: I purchased this item about 3 years ago. i always liked my unit, but about a year ago i began to make the switch from dvd to bluray. some bluray discs would play, others would not. after talking to support i discovered that even though it told me my firmware was up to date, there had been many new updates since. I now have to manually install all of the updates by downloading them from the Samsung site.
Summary: Bought this unit 7 months ago from Amazon. Had all the right features and Netflix and Pandora are sweet. After having it 2 months the sound keep cutting out. I contacted Samsung as was told to do a firm ware update I told them I had because I had it hook up to the Internet. I was told they dont often update the system so I would have to download it to a memory stick and plug it in. I asked why have a system update button built into the device if it does nothing.
Summary: I have never given a review like this before, but this product inspired me. I had to send the first one back for a high frequency noise coming from the unit. Then, it had issues around Pandora and giving access to my Pandora account to other Samsung users. But wait....there's more! Three weeks shy of its one year purchase (still under warranty, thank goodness,) it grew a mind of it's own and began beeping and FFW / rewinding at will.
Summary: I purchased this Samsung unit when it was a 'Today's Deal". I won't complain about hookup or other techie stuff; those are not Samsung's problems (imo). About one week after setting it up, it started behaving oddly: it would pause spontaneously, or start fast fowarding, etc. Checked the remote, restarted, reset, all the usual stuff, but the problem got worse, to the point that it would TURN ITSELF ON AND OFF throughout the day (and night, scaring the h*** out of me...
Summary: It was a great system until Samsung updated the software over the internet connection which is used to download movies. It immediately locked up and quit working,Samsung instructed me to send the unit only, sans speakers to California for warranty repair and that it would take 7 to 10 working days to be returned to me.After 4 weeks and many phone calls I was told that the unit could not be fixed. They would send it to New Jersey where they would send me a new unit.Weeks...
Summary: I bought this unit back in May 2009 to complement my Samsung LED television. I loved it. I thought the sound was great and the streaming features (Netflix and Pandora) were awesome. I could even do picture slide shows from my computer via wireless. However, when my system was prompted to do a system firmware update on September 30, 2009, it crashed the system rendering it unusable (aka "bricked").
Summary: First off, the device broke within 10 days of purchase (November 13th Firmware update). I called Samsung and turned in a service ticket. The first email I received stated that they would process the defective unit and replace or fix within 5 business days. They were not even close! On the 8th business day I received notice that they would replace. On the 11th business day they placed the order for the replacement.
Summary: After going through 3 Samsung HT-BD1250s(not purchased from Amazon), I gave up and(thanks to the seller's sympathy) exchanged the last one for an LG sound system which works as advertised. The 1st Samsung died after 1 week of use and was replaced. The 2nd unit became stuck during a firmware download and took 6 weeks to repair.
Summary: I got this product around the end of September. Nothing great but for the price it seemed to have a ton of features. However, on November 13th I downloaded a software update at Samsung's request and the unit went dead. I would run out of space before I could tell you all of the trouble I've had with Samsung Customer Service regarding this unit. Either they are overwhelmed by the phone calls they are getting or they just plain don't care.
