Summary: I figured this product would be a good product because it was made by RCA. Yea, not! We wired all of the speakers through the wall, which took forever then when we went to turn the system on- something smelled like it was burning and the unit just shut off on its own. Every time we turned it on it would turn off within 3 minutes. It was so frustrating because we spent so much time wiring it through the walls.
Summary: I had high hopes for this unit, but it ended up being junk. The sound would just mute, then un-mute itself at any given time. This alone drove me crazy. Reading further reviews, I found that many of the RCA Home Theaters do this. There is also no bypass feature where you can just watch tv using the tv's audio, rather than through the home theater system. Would it have been too much trouble RCA? I couldnt wait to pack this turkey back up and return it for a Sony.
Summary: This is the second RCA home theater system we've had in three years. The first one lasted 2.5 years with problems starting 14 months after purchase. The latest one RTB10223 lasted only 14 days!! I will not purchase another RCA system again. This stuff is absolute pure crap!
Summary: I bought this item in april. It has died and its barely august. The tray does not open anymore and it has a huge delay on the audio. If I do manage to get the tray open it freezes and will not play. Stupid piece of crap... Thanks for stealing my 200 for this inferior piece of trash.
Summary: I purchased this item on December 15th. I've been looking for a home theater system for about 2 months, and have searched Amazon up and down for a system for less than 300.00. This system fit everything I needed with my budget.I wanted a blu ray player, dependable brand, and clear sound. Sorry SONY, but I steered away from all SONY systems due to my experience with my last one that this unit has replaced. It is my third system and definitely the best so far.
Summary: Terrible, terrible terrible! Please don't give RCA your money. This thing freezes multiple times during playback(and it's not the disc, we have put brand new discs in with the same results). When I called their help line, they acted like they knew it was a problem, but required a receipt for me to send it in for repair/exchange. Since I bought it online, I don't have that and now I'm stuck with some nice speakers, but a worthless player.
Summary: This system had an easy set up it only took me about 10 minutes, maybe less. The length of the speaker wires were just right for my studio and put out good sound. One draw back was the cords, each had one black side and then a different color running through the whole wire. It wouldn't have been so bad if only the first inch of so of the wires were such but now it made the wires pretty obvious if there wasn't a way to place them discreetly.
Summary: This system had a delay in the sound coming from the tv. You would see the lips move on the tv and a fraction of a second later you would hear the sound from the speakers. After doing a little reasearch I have come top find out it is a common problem with RCA products.
Summary: My family bought the RCA Blu-ray RTB1100 during the after-Thanksgiving sales. We got it all hooked up only to have the Blu-ray player freeze up multiple times. We exchanged it for another one. Again the blu-ray player froze up in the middle of the movie. We tried different blu-rays and DVDs and the same thing happened. We're very frustrated and will be replacing it with another brand.
