Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 Instant Home Theater Review
19 November 2010
Conclusion: The Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 offers a lot of performance for only $499 and does so in a neat little package. It is a breeze to set-up and operate, and comes with an excellent remote. The three inputs make it quite practical, but it would be even better if had an additional optical input.
Pros: Very good sound quality with both film and music, Easy to use and set-up, Intelligent design and excellent build quality, Tremendous value for the money, Ideal if you don't have a lot of space but want quality performance, Wireless subwoofer
Cons: Only one optical digital input, Subwoofer can sound boomy when pushed hard, Mild hardness on the top end at loud levels
Excerpt: Low in height and depth, a Surround Bar is designed to project surround sound from the front of your room. US loudspeaker maker Polk Audio has been in the surround bar game for a few years now and has it nailed down pretty well with the Surround Bar 6000.
Pros: Compact and very convenient, excellent value for money, decent dynamic sound quality
