Pros: Runs cool, great sound and picture
Cons: After a year and a half we started getting popping sounds through the speakers followed by a shrill, high pitched screaming sound. Like scares the heck out of you and makes you jump out of your chair loud. And a "UE22" error message appeared on the screen. After the error message appeared we coul...
Pros: Easy to set up. Excellent sound quality for 1st year of ownership.
Cons: After 1 year, randomly would hear "clicks" in audio. Then started randomly emitting a very loud, low frequency tone (fix by shutting off, turning on again). Finally (25 months) no audio output whatsoever, with "UE22" on front screen. Googling shows most people just decided to replace with a non-P...
Pros: I already reviewed it. Just I think my nickname is not shown in case anyone needs how to adjust the sub/bass for this or any Pioneer Receiver with Advanced MCACC. SOrry. It wont work on receivers with normal mcacc. My nick is javygonx. Email me there at gmail dot com.
Pros: Lot of features. Too bad they all don't work.
Cons: HDMI port failure. I would have discovered this problem within the one year warranty but had the receiver at a location that I was only at 2 weekends a month. Was having connection problems from the start with the TV, Netflix and Blu Ray. I'd jiggle the cables and it would come back so I assumed ...
Summary: I bought this because it looked like a less expensive version of an Elite receiver. It didn't blow me away but it met my needs. Unfortunately, I can only surmise that the components are not quality. 11 months in and only one HDMI port will pass sound. I have one month left on my warranty.
Pros: A lot of features for a small price
Cons: HDMI ports failed after just 11 months. D3 amplification on this unit sounded ok when cranked but just didn't have the punch of my old Pioneer Elite.
Summary: I didnt have an IR Repeater when I first set it up; Since the remote didn't reach to the basement I did the initial setup all via telnet.. Was slow and painful but it worked. It took a while but its fully integrated into my home theatre and automation systems, can hide the OEM remote and use a slim...
Pros: High Quality, Sounds Great, Very Affordable on Sale Network & Serial Control is perfect in my Remote Setup; Very Fast Response. Pandora still Plays out Zone 2 (outside) when you Switch Zone 1 back to the TV. Auto Calibration works perfectly.
Cons: Wish it had a Volume OSD Overlay, I live without it just fine though. No Bluetooth Audio Input/Output (default) Of course after years of holding back I buy in and 4k resolution peeks its head out; good thing its still a long way out from being adopted for my home theatre use.. Have a feeling it'l...
Summary: I thought I should write a follow-up review after having this receiver for over 6 months of daily use. I also felt it necessary to come on board to defend this product after reading so many negative reviews (hard to understand this).
Pros: Excellent Power, crisp sound, versatility, equalizer for each of 7 channels independently, much more.
Cons: Buttons on remote are small and hard to read.
Summary: I have owned many expensive electronics products over years and this is the only one which failed during first year.
Pros: t was ok while it worked.
Cons: Just after 10 months and may be half an hour daily use, it died. Emailed pioneer, they responded back after two days and sent me one of the repair store address. Will update the review after repair experience.
Summary: I bought this 12/12 to replace an ONKYO that failed due to its heating of the HDMI board[WELL KNOWN HDMI BOARD FAILURE] naturally out of warranty. I bought this and made sure that I now have 2 Noctura fans and it failed after 8 months and is only used 2-3 hrs a day maybe 5 days a week.
Pros: Runs cool,sounds great
Cons: Failed at the 8 month mark and cannot get a hold ot warranty/service.
Summary: This receiver has performed flawlessly. I have it connected to an LG 60LM7200 3D TV, Denon Blu-Ray, Denon DVD changer, PS3, DirecTV box, and Polk Monitor 70, 40, 30, and CS2 speakers. The unit has plenty of power to drive the monitor 70s.
Pros: Tons of options, Good sound quality, cheap price.
Cons: Complex. That's not really a con, but If you aren't one for reading instructions (downloaded from Pioneer) then pass on this unit. It's not for the plug and play minded individual. Spend some time online reading the various forum posts too.
