Summary: My fiance and I purchased this system two weeks ago. I have always had good luck with Pioneer systems and I wanted to go with another. I found it here cheaper than any other site! What we were wanting in a system was something that had a Netflix app and something that was compact that could fit into the corners of our room! This system does all of that.
Pioneer HTZ-BD32 Blue-Ray Surround Sound Home Theater Syster

Summary: quality of video and sound is excellent. the only issue that I had is that the wires for the 2 rear speakers could be longer for routing out of the way. I live in an apartment and do ont have the option of laying the wires under the carpet, I have to route them off to one side of the room.
Summary: We have had this for 1 month and now the unit will not move off of the root menu screen. It seems to start to boot up, but then stays stuck. The volume and power buttons are the only things that work. At this point I have a Redbox movie stuck inside because the open/close button will not work. And yes, the cords are also way too short!
Summary: Bought this to replace my 10-yr old Pioneer multi-disk DVD theater system. I was a little wary after reading reviews, but it is a good thing that I did, especially when it came to tweaking the speakers. Worst feature is the new speakers are direct-wired, and the old ones were not...so, had to splice all of the speakers into the new connectors... a pain, but old speakers work fine after all of the splicing.
Summary: UPDATE - Big improvement. I did a the factory reset (Home Menu > Initial Setup > Options > Load Default) and then ran the new (around 1/14) update (Options > Update > from Network) and it does reasonably well now. Still a bit glitchy and crashes occasionally, but I'm changing my rating from a 1 to a 3. If it had worked to begin with the rating would have been a 5, but minus one for having to trouble shoot it and minus 1 for Pioneer Tech Support being no help.
Summary: I am still learning the programs and system however the sound seperation is great. I have it paired with a 250 watt powered sub woofer and it is strong. Only watched one dve so far but pleased with purchase. I pod dock was missing but I don't have an I phone anyway.
Crippled, awkward interface, crappy sound. Good for watching YouTube.

Summary: It is a shame that this product could have ever sold for over 500 dollars. While it has lots of features, the lousy interface makes the few useful ones nearly worthless. Useless Features: FM radio. Reception is poor, about the equivalent of the disposable FM stereos you can get at the Dollar stores. Crappy sound: Even after going through the initial setup and advanced menus to set the loudness level (trim) of each speaker, the sound is not clear.
