Summary: the system arrived very quickly and in good shape. it is larger and heavier than I expected but is no problem for me. if someone is very cramped on space to put it ,it could be a problem. the system sounds great in our very large room and has excellent sound. the subwoofer is awesome. we had a dvd laying on top of it and at one point the sound jumped in the movie we were watching and the dvd was thrown off of the woofer.
Summary: I bought this system about 3 weeks ago and I fell in love with it. Its changing my tv experience as I change it to surround output to watch football and it reminds me of sitting in an ESPN zone. I can hook up my other devices such as my cable box if I needed to. Or i cna simply switch to the radio and listen to live radio on the system. It was a great investment for me.
Summary: This product has plenty of hook ups and settings. Mine came with the upgraded bluetooth feathure for less than walmart sold theirs. Dont expect wall pounding bass, but it does the trick for a cheap theatre system.
Summary: I purchased this system because of the name -Pioneer, Ive had Pioneer products in the past and they have been fantastic but unfortunately this system has to be the poorest quality product ever. The sound is poor, within 2 months two of the four HDMI ports stopped working, the system seems to randomly switch off, it honestly is of extremely poor quality.
Summary: This product is great for the price. Way better than anything else you will find at this price. The sub distorts at high volume, but it is also a volume you wouldn't want to listen to it at. I set it up with the pure direct sound setting where I measured the distance from the speakers to the primary sitting location and adjusted the db output of the speakers with a sound meter. It is a great experience watching action movies like James Bond or Iron Man.
Summary: I bought the Pioneer HTP-071 about a month ago and so far all is well. It is in a small bedroom, where I have it in a system with a wall mounted Panasonic 24" TC-L24X5 TV and DMP-BDT220 Blu-ray player. I've only watched a couple of Blu disc movies, but have seen more from Vudu. The sound is great! I was expecting a power cord with the sub woofer, but seems to have plenty of bass for this small room with only speaker wires.
Summary: reasonable sound depth and clarity for the money - about $200 For a small system without a lot of components to deal with it is a much better value than the 2.1 channel systems out there I would not try to fill a large room with surround sound with this unit but it is adequate for a small room with decent depth of field and accurate sound reproduction
Summary: tonight i read all the other reviews on this, which were steller, and talked me in to driving over and getting this receiver to replace my samsung dvd surround sound that just went out. after spending all night thinking it was something i was doing wrong during the setup, i got it to play excellent surround sound audio. it sounded exactly like i wanted it to. HOWEVER i couldn't get any picture on my tv.
