Very satisfied overall. Great sound quality and no video quality loss during pass-through.

Summary: Pros: Sounds great, easy setup. Speakers are wall-mountable with the included attachment. Video and audio quality have no loss going through the receiver. I have tested this with PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and WiiU. So far so good! Cons: One of my HDMI ports is bad, it only produces video, no audio. I would like to see two Optical ports but not a deal breaker.
Summary: I really do like it for the price. It gets the job done in my apartment, but it probably doesn't have enough oomph for a full sized house or a really large living room. The highs can be a touch tinny and sometimes the mid-bass sounds a little thin, but lots of 5.1 systems that use satellites for fronts suffer from the same maladies, and at significantly higher levels than this Pioneer system shows.
Summary: I purchased this system because of the name -Pioneer, Ive had Pioneer products in the past and they have been fantastic but unfortunately this system has to be the poorest quality product ever. The sound is poor, within 2 months two of the four HDMI ports stopped working, the system seems to randomly switch off, it honestly is of extremely poor quality.
Summary: I bought the Pioneer HTP-071 about a month ago and so far all is well. It is in a small bedroom, where I have it in a system with a wall mounted Panasonic 24" TC-L24X5 TV and DMP-BDT220 Blu-ray player. I've only watched a couple of Blu disc movies, but have seen more from Vudu. The sound is great! I was expecting a power cord with the sub woofer, but seems to have plenty of bass for this small room with only speaker wires.
Summary: I bought this product to replace an older system I had that would not work well with Blu-Ray Discs (no HDMI inputs/outputs). I did a lot of research and read many reviews on home theatre systems and determined this Pioneer system would give me the biggest bang for my buck (being on a budget). AM I GLAD I DID!!! This is a tremendous system and the sound quality is absolutely exceptional!
Summary: the system arrived very quickly and in good shape. it is larger and heavier than I expected but is no problem for me. if someone is very cramped on space to put it ,it could be a problem. the system sounds great in our very large room and has excellent sound. the subwoofer is awesome. we had a dvd laying on top of it and at one point the sound jumped in the movie we were watching and the dvd was thrown off of the woofer.
Summary: Our last home theater system lasted for 8 years and finally died recently. I went out and tried to find a home theater system that had at least 4 HDMI switching inputs and had the speakers as well. There are a huge number of systems on the market and the reviews, as is usually the case, are highly subjective. We are not audiphiles and the predominant use for our system will be watching TV on a DVR or through an Apple TV and playing games/watching Blu Rays on a PS3.
