Needed a replacement system for our 5th wheel camper. Set it up in our living room for test. It sounds great and will be perfect for the space in our camper. Surround sound functions very well and it was simple to setup. Read more

I bought this system in July 2007 and right off the bat, had problems with it. The DVD would freeze and then I would turn the system off and then on again and the system would say "No Disc". This was a little bit of a problem for a couple weeks and then it worked perfectly fine for about a year. Works with Ipod. The highs were higher and crisper and the bass was superb. For under $200 you can't beat it although I bought it for $169 (Thanksgiving Weekend). Read more

For the money this is a good system--not great, not lousy, just good. The sound quality is just not as good as some other systems I've used. My primary system is an Onkyo tuner/amp and Bose speakers--this Philips system just doesn't compare. It was purchased for a bedroom though and it's fine for that. For my taste there is too much bass which sounds "muffled" and the mid-range and highs are flat. You can do some minor tweaking (only in the DVD mode) of individual... Read more

I recently bought a refurbished HTS3544/37 for $100 (found here http://www.dealogram.com/node/1436 ). I have had it only for a couple of days. So far I like it very much. The bass is deep and the highs are very crisp. Very handy to dock my ipod. It's not a BOSE for sure but for the price I paid, I've got more than what I expected. Read more
