Great audio quality hampered by clunky menus, limited feature support, poor design choices, and laggy audio

Summary: I have owned this home theatre system for several years. It was easy enough to setup and install, with color coded plugs for each speaker and plenty of length. The audio quality is great and volume is excellent -- I've never had to turn it up above 25 (and it goes much higher). The 1000w amp is a workhorse and the speakers and sub channel output lots of sound with no distortion, even at high levels. This IS a wall-shaking, window-rattling system.
Summary: I bought this unit almost a year ago and I love it. Awesome sound. awesome picture quality. The only drawback is no hdmi/optical input for smart tvs. I solved that problem though a $15 optical to coax and now everything that goes into my tv(wii, dish, hard disk, youtube etc) has audio output through my home theatre. The ability to switch non DTS/Dolby movies from netflix etc to 5.1 surrond is awesome. Play with settings and you will realize how awesome it is.
Summary: I've received it without the original remote just a universal one, but not bad it works fine, I liked the sound, Netflix picture quality not good at all if I compare it with logitech internet box.
Summary: We purchased this to accomodate our older Mitsubishi TV. We have always been fans of Phillips products. The Phillips unit we replaced with this new one was over 10 years old. The quality is remarkable for the price. We have a phenomenal picture and amazing sound. This unit hooked to our 65 in tv makes it theater quality. I couldn't ask for anything better! The fact that it was so affordable is a bonus. Phillips for life!!!!!
