Summary: The sound continually cuts out despite the unit only being four feet away from the receiver. Also, a very strange popping sound occurs both during listening and even when nothing is playing...it woke us up at 4am a couple of days ago!! What a waste. I junked it and went out and bought a whole new BOSE system.
Summary: I've had this reconditioned unit now for about 3 weeks. It was a piece of cake to install. The hardest part was getting the rear speaker wires disconnected from my SS System. Although it works very well when I am watching DVD's, with nary a buzz or cutoff, it doesn't do so well when I play my music through the SS System using my ROKU Soundbridge wireless device. I have to assume that it's the two different wireless signals conflicting with each other.
Summary: Ok, there are still wires. They go from this "wireless" unit to the back speakers. The good news is there are no wires coming from the main unit (by the tv). The back speakers work and sound good. I had heard some people having issues using a wireless internet connection near this unit. That is the case with me. While the card is in the main unit and it is turned on, my internet connection does not work. It doesn't matter whether the speakers are being used or not.
Summary: This wireless speaker system was decent. The only problem I found was I had to change the wireless settings on my router because at first it interfered with the 2.4 ghz frequency. Besides that it was awesome, especially for my cathedral ceilings.
Summary: I bought a refurbished unit a while back (I forget where from), but the unit has worked great; I have never had it die completely as others apparently have. When it works (more later), it works great. Good sound, I can't stand to watch even regular tv w/out the surround sound on. Now the bad...if I turn on my microwave, the sound starts cutting out intermittently. But it also cuts out intermittently at random.
Summary: Ever since I bought it I have had problems. The signal does not work when the microwve is on, even though the microwave is about 30 feet away. The 2 units don't commuicate very well. I have to constantly be adjusting the location of the receiver because it looses signal. The receiver is only 18 feet away and it has a hard time working. Sometimes, during a movie, the signal will go out for 4 seconds which is pretty annoying during an action scene.
Summary: Haven't had any of the other problems reported by other reviewers. Granted, my receiver is only 8 - 10 feet away from the stereo, but there has been no interference from any other devices in the same room (wireless router, wireless phones, wireless temperature stations, numerous remote controls, etc.). If you hate running wires across the walking area in a room, then this is the perfect solution.
