The SC-PTX5 from Panasonic is a 2.1-channel home theater system that features a single-disc DVD player, HDMI connectivity as well as a universal iPod docking stand. The Panasonic SC-PTX5’s DVD player can play a multitude of disc types and features progressive scanning. Disc types supported include standard video DVDs and audio CDs as well as DVD-RAM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD Audio, CD-R/RW, High Performance Media Access Technologies (HighMAT) and Double Layer DVD-R. The system can also playback MPEG4 and DivX video formats as well as MP3 and WMA audio formats.
The SC-PTX5 comes with a Universal iPod dock that also has recharging capabilities. In addition to the iPod dock, the system also features a USB port as well as music port for connecting compatible devices such as other portable music players. The optical digital audio input can also be used to connect other devices.
Video features include up-conversion of videos to 1080p resolution over the system’s HDMI connection. The SC-PTX5 also features Panasonic’s Viera Link technology for controlling compatible home theater components using only one remote control.
On the audio front, the SC-PTX5 features Dolby Digital surround sound and a high quality 12-bit audio digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

I would strongly recommend Vanns to anyone wanting to make an Electronic purchase. Even though they are not as close mileage proximity wise to a Big-name Electronic Relailer, I thought I would take my chances considering the prices that they were offering the products at.
