Summary: Many have mentioned the subwoofer control. The remote near the bottom has a dedicated "Subwoofer Level" button which toggles X1, X2, X3 (shows on display) so you can cut the sub down enough for apartment listening. X1 is still audible but pretty quiet.
Pros: Good sound, wireless surround worked first time, excellent sound. Need to use remote DolbyII button between "off", "Movie", "Music" to acchieve best surround. (Off= 2.1 stereo). The big surprise was how well the surround worked with just plain TV sound stereo into the RCA Aux input.
Cons: Not a con but mine is the SC-PT760, same remote etc.
Summary: Item as described. Wireless feature works well. Read hundreds of reviews and any/all of the negitive feedback read about this item, I couldnt find. Unit worked extremely good for the price paid. Great deal!
Summary: My only problem with this system is the same as others have mentioned. The wireless speakers are not really wireless. They are powered by an attachment that does NOT connect to the DVD player (this is the "no wires part"). I've done my research actual wireless are rare and expensive.
It has a weird noise in the right rear speaker - It doesn't reproduce DTS from the Blue-rays

Summary: The home theater is OK. However, the right rear speaker has an annoying noise when turning on. When the movie starts the noise is not audible but still there. I believe it is because of the wireless system. Regarding image, the upgrading is OK, but sometimes gives blurry images until it "warms up.
Summary: missed a 5 because the 'wireless' speakers are useless. if u want 2 hear a whisper u must sit on the floor next to it and even then you'd be lucky to hear anything. however, i purchased the product for the radio, dvd player and it meets my needs.
Summary: This system has great sound and a great lot of style. When I got the system I hooked it up and right out of the box it had great sound. The sound was powerful and clear. All I had to do was turn up the rear wireless speakers and everything was prefect. I am very happy with the sc-pt 960.
Summary: I purchased this system primarily for the wireless rear speakers which work great. The system was realitively easy to set up and the sound is great compared to the TV speakers. The wireless speakers interfere with my wireless connection to my computer, so I have to disconnect one or the other to use...
Summary: I bought this system to compliment the Samsung LN52A630 TV I purchased at the same time. The system was easy to set up and sounds very good. The surround is a little weak, but that is primarily due to the size of the room that I installed this in.
Summary: I purchased the Panasonic 960 in Sept and it came packaged very well. It took about 30 Min. to set up with my Panasonic 42" Plasma and the remote works very well with the TV.It takes a little time to regulate the speakers after reading the instructions carefully.Dvd's and CD's look and sound...
Summary: I have had this home theater for six years. I use it every day because the sound on my TV sucks. This set up is easy to connect and provides excellent sound. I would need to have spent a lot more money than I wanted to for anything better.
