A great bargain for what I paid, but there are better models out there.

Summary: This system was a breeze to set up. but the surround sound quality leaves something to be desired. It has a real aggressive low end that cancels out the clear mids and highs. This is not fixable even by bringing down the subwoofer level. Although the iPod dock is an awesome feature!!! Being able to plug in your iPod and access all of it's content via your remote makes up for anything that this unit may be lacking. It even charges your iPod!!!
Summary: I have always liked and bought Panasonic Products, where's the surround sound AND MOST OF ALL THE INSTRUCIONS STATE FOR BEST RESULTS HOOK TO/WITH AN HDMI HOOKED DIRECTLY TO THE TV; IT WILL NOT WORK
Summary: Like: Great sound, 5 disk changer and Ipod dock. Dislike: Not as easy to change settings, does not do random multi-cd playing as described in manual, but on one cd only; changing tv channels, it switches from surround to other speaker sounds such as front center only with low sound on the other speakers. Bought it for the low price and unavailability in San Juan, PR.
Summary: Mine had static noise in it from the beginning. I thought it was probably something that I did in the setup, but it wasn't. I called the customer support line at Panasonic which is a nightmare in itself (press 1 for this and you know the drill). Getting a real person in any kind of reasonable time is impossible.

I would say a pretty good buy if you want a, all in one system. The pros: East setup a idiot could do. Great sound and nice picture. The CONS: Only ejectable from the player itself, not from remote. You have to put your TV in the input mode to see a movie.
Panasonic SC-PT770 1000W 5DVD 5.1 Channel Home Theater System with Built-in iPod dock and front-to-rear-Wireless Rear Speakers
Cajun Transplant, Amazon

Summary: Before ordering this system, I did much research as to price and capability. I went to stores like Best Buy, etc. to listen to a number of home theater systems. I made my decision based on sound, ease of operation, ease of installation, and price. The rear wireless speakers are the best part. There are no wires to run through my ceiling or through the baseboards. The sound is amazing, and I can control the volume of ALL speakers individually through the remote.
Summary: When it arrived one of the speakers did not work at all! Thought maybe it was the setting, as I tried to change sound setting now it just says error and am unable to change the setting. Right after the warranty was up which was not a long period at all, one of the other speakers went out. I can honestly say the $150 stereo I bought at walmart performs much louder and can be configured to meet my needs as opposed to this. Biggest waste of money.
Summary: My husband and I received this system as a Christmas gift in Dec '09. We had done a lot of research, knowing we wanted a box home theather system, and that we needed wireless due to the setup of our living room. This system seemed about perfect. First, the good. -The sound, when there are no issues, is quite good. The speakers seems to have decent sound. -The wireless concept is really quite nice.
