Summary: This unit is easy to set up and works well ... I have two issues with it ... Primarily, it's getting the unit to understand which input to use; when I'm done watching a DVD, it doesn't want to revert to the other HDMI input (cable TV). I end up having to turn everything off and on again so it figures out which HDMI input to use.
Summary: I bought this sound bar to go with my new Panasonic st60 series tv. With Viera connect I can use the tv remote to control the sound bar volume, and it turns on and off with the tv, so I don't have to do anything extra at all to get the sound bar up and running. In fact I have a Dish satellite system and after coding it to the tv, I use the dish remote for all the basic functions. One remote very simple. The sound bar is a great improvement over the tv speakers.
Summary: I really like this unit. The sound is great and goes well with my Panasonic TV since i can control it with my TV remote. Only downside i can think of is, I cant change the receiver inputs with the TV remote. So the only time i have to use the receiver remote is when i need to change inputs. Which it doesn't matter since i only have one input at the moment.
Summary: This is an easy hookup and it sounds nice. We just put the bar in front of the screen, the the option of stands or wall mount is great as well. The wireless sub is nice and out of the way behind the couch. Next we'll get a newer screen, probably Panasonic to take advantage on the universal remote options. For the sound and number of HDMI options you get this is a good setup.
Summary: Great for condo/apartment owners who want excellent sound and feature set but not disturb your neighbors. The bass gives a better quality sound when watching movies. Bluetooth streaming via phone is great. Have this hooked up to my panasonic gt50. Viera link works great! I have my speakers setup for soundbar mode. Easy to install.
Summary: We love it other than two annoyances. First, it will automatically switch to our Blu Ray player when a signal is detected, but it won't automatically switch back to our Dish receiver. The other annoyance is that the HDMI passthrough puts a pink hue on the video, and the only way to get rid of it is to cycle through the inputs. After one or two attempts at cycling through it shows the video correctly.
Summary: This is a nice sound system to complement Panasonic VIERA TC-L55DT50 TV set. Easy to assemble and several configuration options. Pros: 1. Good sound, wireless subwoofer. 2. Several set-up options to choose from. 3. HDMI connections (one with ARC) Cons: 1. No LCD Display 2. Forgettable remote control Overall, it is surely a keeper.
Summary: I have had the HTB550 for about a week now. I have it connected to my PS3 (BD/DVD HDMI in), FIOS Box (TV HDMI in) and out to my Panasonic Viera P50u50 Plasma via hdmi (ARC - HDMI2). I also chose to have it setup as a bar not as two separate speakers just below my tv. Overall I would give it a B+ considering price/performance. The first day I had it I thought I might return it.
Summary: Good price for above average sound system. Different options to choose from on main controller. (Simulated surround sound - included) All component connections were with HDMI ports. Like the wireless sub woofer but wish it turned off when the main controller is remotely turned off. All components in my home theater are Panasonic and thus there were no compatibility problems. Setup was smooth. Mainly use the home theater system for movies and music.
