Summary: It's sad when you can't find a halfway decent surround system for nearly $400. I could understand if I had paid $100-$200 but this is just ridiculous. First, the menu has no way of showing you whether you are actually listening to dts-hd or Dolby true hd or pro logic so you can't adjust any of these. Second, it does take way too long to load discs, settings, everything.., The sound is NOT discrete audio.
Summary: Man what a waste of time this was. Went through the trouble of wiring all the speakers and making all the connections to find out I needed to wait twenty minutes for a firmware update to download. Then, no progress at all, just the front display flashing UPD5/5 for 15 more minutes. All that's done and I'm ready to enjoy a movie...or so I thought. Not a single DVD or Blu Ray disc I tried would work. Would constantly be told by the player "Cannot read disc".
Summary: I purchased one and painstakingly disassembled my previous home theater system and set up this new one (including fishing a pull wire to connect the new rear speakers which have a unique jack and setting up all of the internet content), just to discover that the front left speaker did not work. I did some troubleshooting to determine that the speaker itself works but that the output from the unit did not (bad board or something to that effect).
