Summary: I bought this a year and a half ago and have really liked it. I'm writing this review because a few days ago the display on the unit went out. The Panasonic-authorized repair shop tech said this type of issue is rare nowadays, but since this is out of warranty that means nothing to me. Now I need to pay $170 if I want to replace the display.
Summary: The is not ready to have wireless side and rear surround sound speakers. I bought this product expecting to be able to use the rear and side surround sound speakers without wires, but the only recommended wireless transmitter and receiver kits (you would need two kits), Panasonic SH-FX70 Wireless System, is not available. When I called Panasonic to ask about this I was told they did not have them in stock.
Summary: The home theater itself is a good unit. no complaints about sound or ease of use but to call it wireless ready is irresponsible advertising by Panasonic. For whatever reason the rear tranciever is produced in low volumes and not readily available. I had to order it with another set of rear speakers just to make it available to me and that was over a month ago and still no show as of yet. Panasonic really dropped the ball with this one.Wish I had researched more.
Summary: PROS: Superb Sound Quality, Speakers are the best for the price, Excellent Picture Quality, Great Theater Experience Cons: Remote Responds very slowly, & it gets sluggish at times, the system responds slowly to remote; hence, three stars. Overall I think it's a great system, my family loves it, the sound & picture quality are perfect Blue Ray. For the price, this is the best bet.
Summary: I bought this to replace my ps3 as my main blu ray player. The 7.1 sound is incredible. I could not ask for more audio wise. The big down fall is the video formats it accepts. No avi, no divx, nothing but normal dvd and blu ray. My ps3 plays everything I throw at it. This does nothing but dvd and blu. Another flaw is no wifi, or a usb connection to add wifi. This should be standard by now.
