Summary: We bought this surround sound sysytem because our $2600 Sharp AQUOS tv was very quiet. Dont get me wrong this system is loud with a blueray movie in but i can have it on for the race turned up the whole way and its not that loud.
Summary: I've never had a more annoying HTIB. Everytime you start the system and the tv, the panasonic home screen takes over whatever source you had it on, so you have to go back into a different source on the tv. It may not sound annoying, but trust me, it is.
Summary: I purchased the Panasonic SC-BT230 as a speaker system for my Panasonic Plasma TV and secondarily as a Blu-ray player. I wasn't satisfied with the sound quality on my TV; it just didn't have any depth and lacked crisp, distinct voices when playing some dvd's with my Philips dvd player.
Summary: Update: 04/22/2012-When I contacted Panasonic, they suggested i try a firmware upgrade. it worked for a while. I bought the wireless adapter and performed a 2nd firmware upgrade. Now it doesn't work at all. 1 year and give or take 10 days after purchasing it.
Summary: For the amount I paid, I was expecting an excellent sound system. But, I was wrong. For a couple of days it worked fine. Then I noticed that the unit would shut-off randomly as I was watching TV. Also, the blu-ray player sometimes takes time to play the video. These problems are yet to be resolved.
Summary: After setting up this unit I used it for a couple of days and it worked great for the price. I then got smart and went online and saw that there was a firmware upgrade. I installed the upgrade and after about 30 minutes it finished and all seemed fine.
Summary: I bought a Panasonic TV and this surround sound system and assumed that they would work well together. No doubt it may be something to do with the way I have plumbed it in but then they should make these things easier to comprehend.
