Summary: It is a great low cost system for watching blue ray movies or getting better sound from your tv. It is limited in input options and some features are aimed at the panasonic family of products (verri link). The iPod dock is a neat addition for those with iPods. Sound is fine with DVD' s and not as good but still nice using the opitical input for tv.
Summary: The only thing about this system I don't care for is the remote. The remote works, but it is not real easy to understand in the beginning. For example, when the dvd is done what do you do eject it right? No reject on the remote, it is a small thing. I like the system.
Summary: Great sound. Easy to install. Excellent technical features. HOWEVER, if I had known that Netflix was not a feature and that Panasonic has chosen not to ever upgrade, I would have thought twice about this product.
Summary: I thought it was very nice as far as sound is concerned, however, I am no expert. My only complaints with the system are that it takes several seconds to switch between input modes and the FM antenna doesn't work very well at all inside my house. Both minor issues.
Summary: It is a lot more features than I need. It would be nice to have a simple instruction for someone who just wishes for sound, TV & blue ray interface. Too much cable stuff for me at least in the waning years of my life.
Summary: When my 25 year old receiver died it gave me the chance to upgrade. The Panasonic SC-BT200 System offered the best value. It had a Blue Ray player and the AM/FM receiver I needed. It also came with all the speakers and speaker wires, all I had to add was the HDMI and optical audio cables. Performance is very good. It might be better if I had a dedicated A/V room. I am very pleased with both the price and performance of the system.
Summary: Nice system with no issues so far. Only complaint is amount and number of features is somewhat overwhelming when combined with features on your TV already as well...makes getting the perfect picture challenging (especially for a HD neophyte).
Summary: Picture quality is good but I have nothing to compare it to other than a standard DVD player. MUCH better than a standard DVD player. Not a very good "receiver" replacement but with my TV I can manage... if I had a video game console I'd need to figure out how to run the sound though which would suck. I really like the auto configure feature... really don't like that you have to purchase TWO wireless transmitters for the 4 rear surround sound speakers.
Summary: I love this player. It was affordable and improves even movies encoded with only 5.1 surround sound. I have to admit I am slightly disappointed with loading times but; the improved quality from Blu-ray and DVD upconversion is well worth the slightest of inconveniences.
