Panasonic SC-BT200 - audio shorting out

Brendan Coakley, Amazon
27 April 2010
  • Summary: Setting up was a little tedious but I like the auto speaker settings with the mic. Was disappointed to find out the Viera Cast only had Amazon on demand (which is great) because I already pay for Netflix and the older models such as this one dont and will not have Netflix streaming.

Great bang for your buck!

J. Hardin "school teacher", Amazon
21 January 2010
  • Summary: I bought this product from Amazon at a steal of a price for $350. I decided on this system after reading customer reviews and going to a local electronics store and hearing it first hand. Let me say wow!

Great Sound, Great Value

Brian G., Newegg
30 December 2009
  • Summary: I bought this with my tv (Panasonic S1 42") and they work great together in my bedroom. I managed to get a discount for buying together so I was able to get the BT200 for $300, which I thought was a great deal.
  • Pros: Great sound, uses VieraCast, iPod docking station, has a blu-ray player built in, works very nicely with my Panasonic tv (the two remotes are capable of controlling either the tv or receiver), speakers are small and yet they still pack quite a punch. Subwoofer is very nice and sounds great with m...
  • Cons: Lacks HDMI inputs, though I just have my PS3 and blu-ray player going through my tv and then optical output to the BT200, so it isn't really a major problem. Cables might be a little short for those putting this in a large room. I wish it would have included some sort of brackets or mounting syst...

Way Past The Tipping Point!

Dub_Head, Amazon
19 December 2009
  • Summary: I got burned last year on the HDdvd fiasco! Yes, I got my 10 free DVDs etc but I backed the wrong horse. So after licking my wounds all year I noticed that Blue-Ray HTS were becoming remarkably affordable.

Good for the price

Jamie Lynn Sandoval, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: Picture quality is good but I have nothing to compare it to other than a standard DVD player. MUCH better than a standard DVD player. Not a very good "receiver" replacement but with my TV I can manage...

No Netflix!!

jeathey, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: Great sound. Easy to install. Excellent technical features. HOWEVER, if I had known that Netflix was not a feature and that Panasonic has chosen not to ever upgrade, I would have thought twice about this product.

Panasonic SC-BT200 is good for the money

James S. Mossberg, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: It is a lot more features than I need. It would be nice to have a simple instruction for someone who just wishes for sound, TV & blue ray interface. Too much cable stuff for me at least in the waning years of my life.

Kevin Smith, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: When I received sc-bt200 it would not play standard dvd's, but it played blu-ray fine.Panasonic sent me to a local repairman, they had it for 5 weeks then they told me it could not be fixed, that I needed to pick it up and send it back to panasonic myself.I called panasonic on the phone and asked...

Good system

B. Beckman, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: Nice system with no issues so far. Only complaint is amount and number of features is somewhat overwhelming when combined with features on your TV already as well...makes getting the perfect picture challenging (especially for a HD neophyte).

Really nice

Megan N. Garwood, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: I thought it was very nice as far as sound is concerned, however, I am no expert. My only complaints with the system are that it takes several seconds to switch between input modes and the FM antenna doesn't work very well at all inside my house. Both minor issues.
