Excerpt: I was looking for better sound from a flat screen TV in my bedroom and found the Onkyo Home Theater system to be a great solution. It rivals the Bose Cinemate II I have in the living room at 40 percent of the cost.
Pros: Clear Sound, Good Remote, Interfaces Well With TV, Thundering Bass
Summary: Don't get me wrong the sound is fantastic from this, but having now owned it for over a year, the amount of sync issues I have with various equipment is unreal. I've managed to get SKY sorted for HD channels, but SD channels are then out of sync, you can't win. The PS4 just seems to be completely random. My media PC is the same. Other than this, it's great a little unit. I purchased the additional speakers for a front 5.1 set up and it works great.
Summary: I'm using those Onkyos with SKW-208 Bass Reflex Powered Subwoofer and AEG floor full speakers. I think for my setup they are a little bit too small/weak, I'm still trying to tweak them out because of size of other components. Anyway sound itself is very nice & clean, and design is nice. Rear speakers are easy to montage on wall.
Summary: This is an essential purchase to upgrade your Onkyo system to 5.1. The price is easily justified by the additional benefits of having the centre and surround speakers. The only problem is that the rear speaker cables were too short. My room isn't large but once the cables have weaved around furniture (you can't always take the direct route across the carpet) and up a speaker stand or wall to a shelf, there simply isn't enough of it.
Summary: The system is quite powerfull for my small living room but I do feel it lacks a bit of power for bigger spaces. The subwoofer can be overwhelming for some but is easily adjusted either via the front panel on the subwoofer or via menus displayed on the TV. I'm using 1 HDMI input for the PC and another one for the PS3. It does not have an standard audio input, so connecting a mp3 player can be a bit of a pain... though easily solved via an RCA cable.
Summary: Bought these extra onkyo speakers to go with my subwoofer and centre speakers and am very happy with them . adds something extra to the sound quality without a doubt . well worth the extra money .

Summary: Like a lot of people I guess, I had a great tv, blu-ray player, blu-ray collection etc. but had never made the leap to 'home cinema' - the cost for a decent system sounded high, and I couldn't be bothered with the extra cables for rear speakers. Then I came across reviews for this product and thought yes, that's the one.
