Summary: it seems to me that if you buy something and it gets hot you would have the common sense to cool it off im no genius by any means, im just a regular 19 year old kid that bought this stereo my name is josh and I want to give onkyo props this is a great sounding 5.1 surround system.
Best HTIB under $300, possibly under $500. Five STARS!!!!!

Summary: For the money, this Onkyo system is an outstanding performer and a remarkable value! This is my 2nd Onkyo A/V receiver and it is sounds great right out of the box. Just hook up the color-coded speaker wires to the same color connectors on the speakers and you are in business.
Summary: It's OK, but won't blow you away. This is just about as cheap as any 5.1 home theater system can be sold for without being complete garbage. I did have this for about a year and a half and enjoyed it while I had it, but since upgrading the difference is night and day.
Good Value, Doesn't Talk to Non-Onkyo Remotes, One Input Died After 18 Months

Summary: This unit is a great value. Warning: it only speaks to Onkyo remotes. After about 18 months, one of the video inputs became unreliable and would cut out periodically. We don't have a lot of devices, so we just switched to another video input and it works.
A Very Affordable, Dependable, and Enjoyable Sound System

Summary: I meant to return it after I purchased it not because of its quality. It was because I would like to purchase a more expensive brand for a change as I used a Onkyo previously. Since it was too late to do so, I accepted it, and it turned out great!
I was shocked to find that the sound quality from this system was far better than the previous Blu-Ray home theater system I had

Summary: Coming from a system that retailed for around $700 and came with a Blu-Ray player, I was skeptical of this system and it's price. I was shocked to find that the sound quality from this system was far better than the previous Blu-Ray home theater system I had.
Summary: Great system for my decent sized living room in my apartment. Not a BOSE system, but it will do! I like how many HDMI inputs it has. I have a Sony Blu-Ray hooked up to it and I like how when I turn that thing on it automatically turns on the receiver set to the Blu-Ray input.
