Summary: Plain and simple, its an awesome receiver. It was very easy to setup and hook the speakers up. It produces a great sound with all my gaming systems (Wii, Playstation 3) and surround sound with tv is great for sporting events.
Summary: Our Phillips AV receiver died. Our oldest Son recommended Onkyo for a replacement. After participating in several auctions that went beyond my price point, I finally scored this Onkyo TX SR600 and couldn't be happier. A big improvement in all respects from the Phillips at far less money.
Summary: We purchased this product to use primarily for movies/tv/video games/etc. and I must say I'm very pleased with it. It is also a very attractive setup as well. I do use it for listening to music sometimes (and it's fine for me) but I can see how a previous reviewer who bought it to replace his stereo...
Summary: I decided to try out the HT-SR600 and a Yamaha RX-V361/NS-SP1600 speakers after reading the reviews and my experience is summarized below: Onkyo HT-SR600 -------------- Pros: Very easy to set up (color coded speaker wires make it a breeze), Superb receiver Cons: Passive subwoofer weak/underpowered...
Summary: When I was looking for home theater systems, I knew nothing about Onkyos until I read some reviews online. I wanted something that sounded crisp and true to life so when I watch movies, I would feel like I was part of it.
Summary: This is the first home theater system i have owned but compared to the tv's speakers this is a nice upgrade. The hookup was easy since they color code all the speakers and wires. With this unit you get suround sound for your t.v.

Summary: I returned this item for a full refund including shipping. Amazon is great about returns and for that I give Amazon high marks. The subwoofer to this stereo was not powered so the bass was terrible. The speakers weren't all that great either.
Summary: I love the receiver that I won. It had dts on it, which is one reason why I bid on it in the first place. The other receiver that I had didn't have it on there, so when it died I wanted to buy one that had it. My son in law has the same receiver and thats who talked me into getting it.
