Amazing sound quality for 2 years 3 months - then no HDMI audio

Summary: Love this system. I use the android app for remote control, use the Pandora network function, play from a USB connected iPhone, and play to the unit from networked computers (using Windows Media Player). All these functions give it superb functionality, and the sound quality is amazing.
Pros: Couldn't tell you since I rejected the package because it was HEAVILY damaged.
Cons: 1.5 months after ordering i'm STILL waiting. Newegg keeps "trying to contact the warehouse" that UPS delivered the destroyed package to. No response from the warehouse, no response from Newegg, absolutely ridiculous.
Summary: I've owned this system for 3 years and yesterday. It died. No idea what happened. I went to bed watching a movie, shut everything down like normal, and woke up to use it and it won't load anything. I can't update because the network option is greyed out and I get 0 sound.
Pros: - Sounds is amazing - Product was cheap for what you get in my opinion - Loads of HDMI ports
Cons: - Cheap cabling (easily and cheaply replaced on monopricee dot com (remove the last "e" in that because of newegg's dumb filter) -Sometimes the speakers don't... load? when switching inputs. It's like the system didn't detect the input that I had just been using so I had to constantly reset the s...
Summary: I've had this running for about one month and still enjoy it immensely. Okay, this is the top end of the middle end, or so I am led to understand by those who write reviews. What I liked best about the packaged system was being able to open the enormous box and have mind-blowing sound (by my...
Summary: For anyone looking to build a 7.1 channel home theater system, this is an excellent choice. The good: -Sound quality is excellent, even operating as 3.1 system. The receiver dynamically switches between Dolby "Normal Dialog" and "Movie" modes, optimizing voice and back ground through the speakers.
Summary: I finally broke down to the nagging of having four 30 year old monster DLK speakers in the four corners of the living room. This also replaced a 30 year old Sony receiver, these now have a new home in the man cave.
Incredible Sound -- Do not waste your money on Bose

Summary: Recently moved into a new house and needed a top-of-the-line sound system for the entertainment room. I looked at Philips, JBL and even considered getting a $2500 Bose system. I've been in Bose showrooms and listened to the amazing sound there.
Summary: The speakers, though good, could be better. Most of the weight is in the relatively cheap enclosures and mounting them required replacing the chintzy keyhole mount with a beefier setup. The receiver is definitel a step up from almost any other HTiB on the market.
Pros: The "package" (huge, 135 lb. box) arrived in great shape. Setting the system was easy, save for placing the speakers in my odd-shaped living area. The color-coded wires made getting the speaker hookup a cinch. The price was about $370 below MSRP (and is $50 lower just a couple of weeks after I pu...
Cons: 1. The front display panel on the receiver does not work. Cost me $30 to ship it to a regional Onkyo service center for repair. Can't say yet whether it'll be fixed or how long it will take to get back. Newegg will only exchange the whole system, which would be a real chore to re-package and get ...
