No audio after just 2 years and 3 months and Onkyo won't honor warranty from Amazon reseller Superior Sales

Summary: No issues with this receiver until last Thursday when I turned on the receiver and received no audio regardless of input. Video switch HDMI pass-through works but zero audio output. Reset unit per tech support recommendation, but still no audio. This (of course) occurred just 3 months out of Onkyo's 2 year warranty.
Summary: I loved this home theater package until recently when the HDMI OUT port appears to have died just 6 months after purchase. I did not think that I would need to go through the hassle of getting something fixed on it so soon (and face the ire of my kids until this gets done)! I have yet to get in touch with Onkyo to find out what they are going to do about it since it is under warranty.
Summary: Bought it last year based on the great reviews ( I thought it was a good sounding system for the money, not great as many people state). System was bought new from a reputable seller and items came in undamaged box. I don't know if i got a lemon but it sure seems that way.
