Summary: This system sound amazing in my home theater. The receiver has a tone on settings and the subwoofer is very powerful!!! I have not experience any issue with compatibility between all of the component I use that are connected to the receiver. Highs and lows shound great after setup for your room. IPOD doc is neat and works great!!! I would buy again!!
Summary: I purchased a ONKYO HT-S6300 7.1 CHANNEL HOME THEATER SYSTEM W/IPOD DOCK DEC 12TH.2010 Around mid 2011 I had TV issues , and had it repaired , But after I hooked everything back up,the ONKYO RECIEVER did'nt work anymore.Thinking I had hooked it up wrong, played w/it until I became frustrated and abandoned the repair, and just watched tv.After some time decided to call tec support again, and again.I was finally told that the HMDI INPUT was'nt working and had to be...
Summary: This sounds real good for the price which was 580 at the time. A month into owning this and it wasn't outputting any sound. The support number is nothing but music and if you choose for them to call you that feature is broken. Also when shopping for this the specs were wrong on onkyos website. I emailed them and they said they would fix it. Only took a week to get back to me. So if it works it sounds great.
Summary: Great HT for the $$$. I got it when it was $508 shipped. Nothing I dislike about this entire system. Speakers are pretty loud and very clear. Nothing crazy. Sub fills my 18' x 28' room to my surprise... System is very good for music as well as movies. I thought I was buying a newer HT system on the cheap... I wound up with a really nice system. Pairs well with my Samsung Smart TV.
Summary: Just got this thing today. Sounds pretty great, easy to set up, lots of options. Too bad it doesn't come with better speaker wire though. If you get this, it'd be in your best interest to spend another $50-$100 (room size dependant, of course)on upgrading the wires.
Feels like you are in a theater, without all the negatives

Summary: No expensive popcorn, drinks, or candy to be seen. I will probably never walk into a theatre again unless I'm travelling away from home. I finished my basement this spring and installed a 9.5 ft screen and an OPTOMA GT700 projector. This Onkyo system is awesome from the box. It suprised me by coming with a self-calibrating mike! It's actually a little elf named mike that jumps out of the box and sets it up.
