Summary: Great Sounding system. I live in a one bedroom apartment and this system is the one that went into the bedroom where there is Cable TV and a PS3. It sounds spectacular and I am very pleased with the purchase. So far this system has stood up to everything I have thrown at it.
Summary: I picked up the AVX-290 for $215 for watching movies in my small den. For being a low end system it filled the room with decent sound and the passive subwoofer put out some good bass as well. The receiver is loaded with inputs for everything though has no USB port.
Summary: My Fiance did plenty of research and requested that he get this one for our new home. He loves it and we have been very pleased with the purchase of our new sound system in our living room, feels like your in a theater =)
Summary: This home theater system sounds great for the price, but the HDMI pass-thru has become a real problem. Here's a timeline over four months: 1st month: everything worked great, and I was very glad to have gotten such a great deal ($215.00) on this system.
Summary: The included speakers.. leave a lot to be desired. Thankfully, I already had solid front R/L bookshelf speakers. Also, the receiver lacks a pre-amp subwoofer output - it's amplified only, so if you want to upgrade to a powered sub in the future you're limited to finding one that can take...
Summary: I picked this thing up from best buy for 150 shipped on clearance. Came very well packaged in the original box. I run the sound about 40 percent most of the time and it is perfect in my pretty large living room.
