Summary: I have loved Mirage speakers, since they've been acquired I have been concerned. These sound good as complimentary speakers and the small discrete form factor is a plus for what I am using them for.
Summary: I wanted a pair of back speakers to match the Mirage fronts and these have met my expectations. I prefer an 'airy' surround sound and these fill my listening area quite nicely. I'm no snooty audiophile who needs to impress guests with thousands of dollars of audio equipment, just a guy that likes what he hears at a price that's affordable.
Summary: Mirage products are extremely well made for the price. I use these as surround speakers and they are excellent in this role...the midbass is limited but that's to be expected for a speaker of this size. The sound overall is quite refined, very happy with them.
Summary: These are good living room speakers. They have fairly average range, but I wouldn't expect something else given the small form factor. I would buy them again, but definitely not as main speakers for a home theater.
Summary: Wow It's SMALL!!! Only 3" X 3.3" X 4" w/o the grille. It has a 2.4" aluminum woofer (a ~2" piston) with a roll surround and a 0.63" titanium tweeter. It can handle 100 watts maximum and is rather low in sensitivity at about 87 db. The advertised frequency response is 110 Hz to 20,000 Hz but the low resonance point is 114 Hz so one would expect little useful output below 114 Hz. I suggest a crossover frequency to a sub at 120 to 150 Hz.
