Summary: I like the low profile form of this sound bar as I installed it directly in front of my 47 inch TV, and considering its small size, it provides far superior audio than the TV's anemic, built-in speakers.
Summary: If your looking for something small and sleek this is for you! The sound quality is decent, but the built in sub-woofer does add a plus. I did notice tho if it is turned up to loud the sub-woofer intends to rattle and throws off the sound. So if you looking for a casual listen experience, this isn't bad at all!! I recommend hooking it up to a 20" TV or smaller.
Summary: bass is a surprise. it is very good. treble is muffled and cannot be corrected. cannot play with tv sound at same time because you get an echo. the remote sucks! hardly ever works. i am on the fence as to whether i would buy it again. bass might make it worth while.
Purchased here on eBay for $50, I feel like it was a great value.

Summary: For a lower end sound bar, this maxell surpassed my expectations. I purchsed for my master bedroom. It's not over powering but it's much clearer than the speakers on the flat panel. I sometimes felt like I had a hard time understanding all of the words on my Samsung 52". I turned off the sound & I understand ever word from the bar.
Summary: Overall this unit sounds pretty good if you stay within its limitations. This is not a substitute for a regular AV sound system. You can't crank the volume without getting into distortion especially on the bass end. There is a button on the unit and the remote that will reduce the bass for louder volumes. That being said, it's a huge and very economical improvement in sound over your flat panel speakers. The design of the unit is very slick.
