Summary: I purchased this system in May of 2010. When it worked, it worked great and I really enjoyed the quality of the blu-ray player and sound. About a week ago the wireless subwoofer stopped working. It has power but will not link up with the wireless receiver. I tried everything I could possibly do and couldn't get it to "remate" (connect) again. I then called LG and they were unable to fix it.
Summary: Worked for 120 days, which is 30 days past the Labor warranty. Even though I got a great deal from Amazon, LG's service sucks!! I called them when I started having an issue with the wireless portion of this device. I am an IT guy, and I know electronics. On top of that, I read the manual and did research online before calling Tech Support for LG.
Great system, but not with completely wireless speakers

Summary: We got this system yesterday after waiting about six weeks. We had found it when searching the LG site, and while it was "released", the LG rep I emailed said that it was just taking time for the distributors to get it to retailers. LG service was prompt and VERY helpful! When it was finally available on Amazon, my wife and I jumped on it and had it over nighted. (BTW: Amazon Prime rocks!). This system was everything we wanted.
Summary: Update: My original title for this article was: "Not quite perfect, but Really, really good!" and I gave the product 4 stars. As you can tell from the new title of the review, "Please save yourself the headache", my feelings have changed drastically on this system (LG LHB975). The original review appears in its entirety below. I feel very badly if my initial positive review led anyone to purchase this system. So... what went wrong? After a short time: everything.
Summary: We been waiting for this system to come out for the last 5 months and it has not let us down. Installation was a breeze, had the system running in less than 5 minutes (after unpacking). Sound quality is great, and love the speaker setup dialog, although it will be better if you could input distances rather than selecting it. Love Pandora, youtube, although we have not tested streaming if it works as flawlessly as youtube interface does it will be a hit at home.
Summary: I have had this product for less than 3 months and I had to send it to LG for service. They had it longer than a month and I was told anything over 3 weeks I would be put on a list for replacement and/or refund. They sent back the original with scratches and marks that won't come off, and the unit still does not work. When I called and spoke to a supervisor I was told the warranty policy is only to repair not replace or give refunds. THEY LIE!!
Summary: I have the same problem as everyone else. Wireless failed long ago. Don't buy this as LG won't help. I did find this helpful link on the web. Not sure I'm even going to bother to try to fix it. [...] From here down is my original review. Too bad the quality didn't last. Got this right after it was available in May 2010 (should have waited a month and saved $110). Works great with easy set up. The wireless subwoofer and "wireless" rear speakers just worked.
Summary: This system is great, sounds very good with movies and music. Setup was very easy, the only thing that stalled the setup was that four screws that go with the tall boy speakers were missing.(oh well, not a big deal)I was able to easily hook up a xbox 360 and direcTv box to this without trouble. Also make sure you have an extra HDMI cable cause you will need it, if your not going to go with HDMI it comes with component cable.
Summary: Rear speakers are not functioning after used 1 month. I did exactly what LG Customer Support suggests to syncronize rear speaker wich are not responding with main unit but nothing happened, problem persists. Furthermore, firmware update online or by USB is imposible. It is a defective product, I recommend to not buying LG LHB975 Home Theater System.
Summary: After unwrapping this massive box, I found the installation to be quite easy. Unlike most folks who don't read the specs before they pay $500 for electronics, I knew exactly what parts of the set were truly wireless (as in no wires required at all), semi-wireless (as in no speaker wires required), and none-wireless. So no surprises there and in fact just right for what I was looking for. To detail it once more: there is NO part of this kit that is truly wireless.
