Summary: I bought this item back in October, and want to ensure that those of you who are reading through these reviews are smart enough to heed my warnings. The system itself looks sleek right out of the box. I love the speaker designs, and the blue ray player isnt so flashy as to detract from a good looking home theater set up. Once turned on, things change. The layout of the menus is horrendous in my opinion. Worst of all, there is an odd lag when using the remote.
Summary: Did the research and settled on the LG LHB536. I have an LG LED TV we bought this summer and thought the two systems would work seamlessly. Picture quality is great and pretty happy with sound quality. Disappointed that no stereo setting that lets me work with just left/right channel for stereo sound. Real problem was with trying to play a standard DVD.
Great Sound and Features that connects to any HDMI 3D TV

Summary: ** LG LHB536 1100s 3D Blu-ray Home Theater System with Smart TV integrated Wi-Fi. ** This one had all the features to provide a great sound experience and more. This unit actually boasted the best sound over Samsung or any other brand at a midway price. This system is serious. It allows all your necessary devices to be connected to it with the need to only connect a single HDMI cable to the television.
Summary: What isn't mentioned is that there are six sets of speaker wire included, two of which appear to be 33' in length. You won't necessarily *need* to order speaker wire at the same time unless you want wire to your specification.
Summary: I bought this unit as I was originally looking to purchase a $200 dollar surroundsound system and a $100 dollar apple tv system, when I saw I could have both in one beautiful package I jumped at the chance. I have a 50" Plasma from LG (LG 50pt350) and it works flawlessly with this system. The TV remote actually works on the system controlling the power and volume switches. Even when you turn the tv off, the LHB536 shuts down automatically.
Summary: I ordered the Sony HTSS380 HT-SS380 3D Blu-ray Disc Matching Surround Sound System last month and returned it because I just didn't like the sound of it. Tinny and cheap to my ear. I know its a low end system, but I just couldn't keep it. I bought the LG and am delighted with the sound, and its a beautiful system for the money, worth the hassel of returning the Sony and I am loving it.
Better than expected, and negative reviews are uninformed
26 June 2011
Summary: I don't normally do written reviews, only star ratings, but I had to put my 2¢ into the conversation. First of all, like some others I totally agree that it is ridiculous to expect a wireless speaker system if you know anything about systems at all, wireless or otherwise. The description is pretty clear in that the wireless term refers to the internet connection only.
Summary: I was originally looking for a blu-ray player and wanted a PS3, but with the whole fiasco with Sony being hacked multiple times I was somewhat uneasy purchasing one. Since I was already planning to spend over $300 on a PS3 I thought I would look into home theater systems rather than just a blu-ray player by itself.
