Summary: This system has a history of the DVD player going bad,not able to read discs, or being repairable. So I've not been able to play DVD's since shortly after buying it. Also, the remote for this is a one-of-a-kind item that the system cannot be operated without.
Summary: I have the same eject lock problem. When I hit the eject button the DVD does not come out and the display screen says "locked". For the last two months I have tried all the solutions online but nothing has worked so far.
Summary: I have a medium sized bedroom, and will soon be owning a pretty large living room, own TWO of these. Why?! They are perfect space-savers, probably the nicest-looking 2.1's I've ever seen, and easily crush any PC speaker setups you could own.
Summary: I have had this system for one year and it worked well at first then it would overheat and the picture would freeze. I would either have to turn it off and wait for it to cool off before I could continue watching the DVD or just get frustrated and give up.
Summary: Ordered from [...] and it was on sale at the time for $[...] with free shipping and no tax! THE SHIPPING: I was skeptical and thought this may be a mistake but it arrived a week after I ordered it. Brand new, factory sealed. Opened it up and everything is intact, doesn't seem like a factory refurb.
Summary: This is a great inexpensive system for a budget price. DVD plays well, speakers have a nice sound. Only thing i had with dvd controller is heat from other components..make sure to keep well ventilated. I had to replace because of overheating the dvd main controller.
Summary: This was an inexpensive unit and when it's working it sounds great. But every once in awhile it goes into "eject lock" or "demo mode". It was difficult finding a solution to fix it. I found online if you hold the stop button for more than 10 seconds it goes back to normal.
Summary: I have had this system for only 14 months. In that time I have had to send it back once, at a charge of $70, as it suddenly stopped responding - would not eject my dvd, turn off, anything. Now several months later it is doing it again, and LG will gladly "fix" it for another charge of $70!
