Summary: I bought this well known brand as the CEO of Klipsch stated the the models sold at Amazon were checked and "repaired" as there were problems with the units. Given this assurance that the problem was rectifiied I bought the CS500 model in November 2010.
Summary: I don't believe for one second that they have upgraded these units. Bought mine on July 7th, and (like everyone else) I love the sound, but the DVD player totally crapped out after 6 months of use. Hoping Klipsch honors its warranty as it appears to be too late to return to Amazon. Don't buy this.
If I wanted to hear jets I'd move closer to the airport

Summary: Although this system sounds fantastic there are a few problems that have cause me to give it 2 stars. 1) The remote control has decided that it only works for volume and to control which system I want to play from. I have to get up if I want to turn it off.
Great sound system--gives Bose a run for it's money

Summary: A salesman at 6th ave electronics told my husband about this system. These are the creators of the Loews movie theatre sound systems so we figured how bad can they be--turns out that we are extremely satisfied.
Summary: I needed to update my home theater sound and was tired of my old speakers shorting out and wires getting undone. When I found this deal, I was skeptical. But since I didn't need the dvd player, I thought it would be great. Was I ever right!
Summary: This is an all-in-one...that leaves a lot to be desired. I wanted a home theater system that was compact and had good functionality. The sound is great. Radio reception gets fair+ to good. From TV the sound is wonderful(using the optical audio connection).
Summary: I love the sound - unfortunately I have had to exchange it because it suddenly stopped working in less than a year and now I think I it has happened again and I will need to see if i can exchange once again
Summary: First and foremost, the sound is excellent for a 2.1 system. You do get superb 5.1 sound from this system. I insist on watching BluRay movies. The sound meets your expectations. To date, I have watched numerous movies in 5.1 and 7.1 format. Only one movie gave me a decoding problem.
