Summary: Insignia stuff has impressed me time and time again, and this set is no exception. I had been looking for a setup for my computer system, and had been going back and forth between a "computer" speaker system, or a traditional receiver plus speakers. I've had a lot of audio gear over the years, both higher mid range stuff, as well as cheap crap for home audio, computer audio, and car audio.
Summary: I bought two sets (Not from this seller)and setup two subs. One for the high register and for the lower register of the sub-woofer band. One is behind the couch the other is up front by the 46" TV. 8" self powered sub. Not crazy powerful, but works well. I connected it to a Yamaha RX-V665 receiver. You will be happy with these things.. What a great value.
Summary: I actually found this audio system at best buy 2 weeks ago. When I checked the price I could not believe it... $130+Tax (with receiver included) The best buy guy told me it was a steal for what I was getting. There were only 2 left and its discontinued now. I have tried it and the sound is very good for the price, the connections are fairly simple. No other 5.1 home theater system with a receiver can beat this price.
Summary: Sounds good and the price is amazing for the quality, especially the bass. But i'm not sure how to make the bass go on and off by itself. There is a switch that says "auto" but it doesn't do anything. I ended up just leaving it facing down and the switch up so i can flip it on and off easy. Anyone?
Lots of bass. souds great for the money. Great quility for the money.

Summary: I bought the system just to have one in the family room and it works well.I have an older pioneer THX reciver and this system seems to work well with it. The only thing I do not like is the highs are only heard at higher volume levels but I still like this system very much and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a starter system. It sounds like it should cost more.
Summary: I bought these speakers used on amazon for $71 bucks and that price includes the shipping and handling. I wasn't sure what to expect from these speakers but after i hooked them up to my insigna receiver I was pleasantly surprised. I am a Bass lover and you will definitely get that with this speaker set. I recommend them if you are looking for good speakers and not looking to spend a ton of money.
Summary: I matched this up with an Insignia home theater receiver. I am very impressed with the sound quality..and especially the sub woofer. Blows me away. For mounting purposes I found the hole on the back of the speakers is just slightly too small so I had to dremmel a bigger hole to allow it to hook onto the screw anchored into the wall. I did not use the speaker wiring that came with the system..but bought a 100ft role of 18-2 gauge shielded speaker wire.
Definitely worth every penny. The powered sub makes all the difference!

Summary: For the price, this sound system is a steal. It may not compare to the high-end products like Bose but it is the perfect beginner's setup for 5.1 sound. I've had multiple similar priced setups and none of them compare. The powered Sub makes all the difference. Makes it worth ever penny even if everything else is mediocre.
Summary: I bought these speakers on sale at Best Buy for $125. Got them home and connected them to my RX receiver(don't remember the model number). Before I mounted the speakers on the wall (a week later) they had already sounded awesome just sitting on the tv stand and side tables. But once I mounted all five speakers at the top of the walls.... GEEEEEEz! Awesome sound quality. Doesn't have to be super loud to be heard. Of course there are better speakers out there...
