Summary: The Receiver keeps locking up, requiring a hard reboot. Very annoying. Haven't called Denon about it yet but the web talk doesn't give me much hope there. Update 2013-4-27: I contacted Denon by phone and they were very helpful. Took the receiver to a local authorized repair shop.
Summary: This set pretty much out competes other systems in its price range. Setup was a breeze. Its challenging get the levels adjusted and inputs set. Has a hard time decoding PCM over optical and some DD or DTS, sub doesn't run on some decodes. Overall it works great and the sound quality is amazing.
Summary: I purchased this system for a Christmas gift for my family. And I have not been disappointed. The system was easy to set-up and configure. The instructions were clear and efficient. With 650 watts I wasn't sure what to expect, but this system will rattle your windows.
Summary: I bought this item based on the name brand Denon and the fact that numerous sales reps at bestbuy have told me that denon is top of the line name brand when it comes to receivers. Since i bought this item, the receiver freezes about an average of 5 to 10 times a day..
Summary: I bought this at christmas time. It sounded alright but i couldn't help but notice the speakers kind of sucked, except for the sub. I ordered some polk audio monitor 60 series II towers and now My music sounds great.
Summary: I was looking for an upgraded system to replace a $99 rca system i purchased from walmart a while back. I needed A full AV receiver because i had just purchased a projector that does not route sound through it.
Summary: I purchased the Denon AVR-391 reciever and speakers and although I was initially pleased with the product, I am sad to say that after three weeks, I am fed up with the reciever freezing on me every time I use it.
Summary: The reciever freezes after about 5 minutes. It keeps playing but none of the contols work, including the power switch. You have to unplug it and plug it back in to reset it. I tried the processer reset that Denon says to do and it didn't help at all. Waiting to see if Denon will do anything to help.
Summary: This for the price, is easily one of the best systems I've bought, very simple setup and sounds great. Even with factory default settings it sounds great in my home. If you wanna tweak it a little it doesn't take much to get the output you're looking for, keep the manual close by though especially...
