Summary: Haven't been able to get the remote to work to adjust volume. Customer support is a joke. when contacted them their response was they were having technical issues and they would get back to me. I will never by a product from this company again!
Summary: Don't bother. It will die out in less than a year. The wireless sub woofer just makes a loud humming noise. I've tried all the quick fixes from BA's website but no luck. I tried to contact them several times and still no response. How hard is it to reply to an email? Anyway, save your money and get some other brand like Samsung.
Summary: -I'm a network engineer by trade. I have been battling intermittent wifi issues for roughly the past 6 months (since I got this unit, I just didn't put two and two together) The subwoofer / Soundbar operates @ 2.4 ghz, causing SEVERE interference. Last night my sub-woofer broke, causing a loud hum, enough to wake me up out of a sound sleep and think the rapture had come.
Summary: Bought this for my new home. Did a ton of research and was hoping I would somehow avoid the problems which plagued many reviewers. Awful instructions but got it set up w/ online help. Sound was not great to poor. Barely better than the tv sound alone. Bass did not seem to match up well - cannot give the sub good review, but that is not why I returned the product. The worst, however, is the issue with the wireless subwoofer!
Summary: Having the same problem as many others. Wireless subwoofer doesn't work. After having only a couple of months it simply hums loudly when turned on - will not connect to the bar. I thought Boston Acoutistic was a quality product - apparently not as subwoofer problem is a common one.
Summary: I bought this based on the Boston Acoustics name. The original unit that I had purchased ran hot on the back of the subwoofer unit. After using for extended periods of time, the sub would randomly shut off. After doing a power cycle nad letting the sub stay off for awhile, it would work again. I thought I had a faulty unit, so I sent it back for an exchange. Received the new unit and had the same problem. The sub would run hot on the back and then randomly shut off.
Summary: Well I hate to give bad reviews- I bought this and had it professionally installed- the subwoofer was making horrible sounds during shows, when it went to commercial, came back from commercial, during all DVR functions. It also hummed loudly and got very hot when the TV was off. I called service,(outsourced to a 3rd party company). I had to pay to get a box, bubble wrap and shipping to send the subwoofer in for service.
Summary: The night I received this product, the subwoofer stopped working-it just creates a loud hum anytime it is on. Boston Acoustics ignored my emails. When I called, they just gave me another phone number to call, and after waiting on hold for two different numbers, I was told to ship the item (16+ pounds, the soundbar is 3' long and the sub is 1' x 1' x 1') at my own cost, across the country to NY. I am disgusted and will be getting my money back for this product ASAP.
Summary: I bought this sound bar to enhance the audio on a Samsung 22" LED for my wife. It died three after three months. The lights will not reset and I have tried several time to unplug the unit for three or four days per Boston Accoustics instructions. There service department was no help and I could get no help regarding the unit's warranty. Do not buy this unit...you'll be glad you didn't waste your money.
