Summary: I wanted a "system" for my bedroom. I hate when you go from station to station they are all at different volumes. I did not want to get a 6 speaker system with an equalizer because ... it's my friggin bedroom. The Solo system has equalized the sound issues as well as filled my bedroom better with sound. I have a SONY flatscreen. Picture is awesome but the sound was tinny.
Summary: be very careful when buying this item, the sound is wonderful, but item will only work on certain TVS. OVER 50" AND TV with a DVD player combo BOSE SOLO WILL NOT WORK,SO READ BEFORE MAKING THE PURCHASE.
better than standard tv but not as good as expected

Summary: My wife and I are in our sixties and have a hard time hearing and understanding speech on most network TV shows. The bose solo is better than the standard speakers on our sony tv. The base response is 100% better, however the vocal and speech stuff leaves much to be desired.
Simple setup pricey but you do get what you pay for

Summary: Upgraded from a Vizio sound bar. (no sub)Overall a better quality of sound than from the last set of speakers. Much better base and sound is pushed to the sides and not just to the front. (sounds just as good being off center / while moving around the room or going to the kitchen) No way to make any adjustment to the device. Just wish the prices we're lower for a lack of an ability to tweak the sound.
Summary: This system improved the stock sound system of my TV. However, don't expect to all of a sudden have the New York Philharmonic Orchestra sitting in your living room when you plug this baby in. Yes, volume is pumped up and there is a definite improvement in fidelity and richness of tones, but it isn't earth shattering. Still, I think the expense is worth it if you will be using this system in a room that doesn't have perfect acoustics.
