Summary: Not impressed. My HD TV sound system works just a well as this unit and is already part of the set. I bought this because they advertised it as a system that will truely improve your listening experience. For $300, it was a disappointment.
Summary: The Bose Solo TV sound system will deliver as promised, an obvious upgrade to your internal TV speakers. The problem here, is you get little bang for the buck. Plug and play, and little else. The unit is very limited in its capabilities. For starters, there is no functions to adjust the Bass or treble. What comes out of the box is what you get. The unit cannot accommodate a TV over 40 pounds. Most importantly, the price is way too high for what you get.
Summary: I thought that the BOSE System would clarify the verbal and diminish the background sounds. The opposite is what I found to be true. I didn't want more noise in the background but clearer verbal and less intrusive background,.
Summary: ZVOX pummels this thing. I got the cheapest model zvox for 200 and it still has fuller/richer sound this the solo sound system. The solo isnt a bad speaker.. but like many others said, this isn't really up to bose standards. There is no bass whatsoever. All zvox models have a 4 or 5 inch subwoofer which truly makes the difference Notice how the price is extremely cheap for a Bose product?
Excerpt: " I bought this as a replacement for a surround sound system that had failed but was very disappointed so I returned it for a refund. True to their word QVC refunded very promptly. Nothing actually wrong with the Bose but it was not what I was expecting and I do have 3 other Bose products with which I am very satisfied.
