Summary: I have a minor hearing loss which makes it difficult to understand voice conversation on TV. This was supposed to make the voices "Crystal clear". I sold this after a few months because it didn't live up to Bose hype.
Summary: We've used our Bose Solo for 15 months; then suddenly, it went silent. I thought that this was very uncharacteristic of a Bose product, so I went to their web site. Sure enough, there was a software update available.
Summary: We purchased this speaker because our TV is in a large room and the tv sound volume was quite low and a little muffled. The Bose speaker definitely clears up and enhances the sound, but I expected a little fuller sound from it.
The sound quality is good but not as good as the Bose Sound Bar

Summary: I originally bought this because our living room has vaulted ceilings and my wife despises all the exposed wires of my old outdated surround system. The sound quality is good but not as good as the Bose Sound Bar.
Excerpt: The sound quality was greatly improved with the Bose Solo. I like being able to increase or decrease the bass at will. The remote is a little confusing - trying not to point it backwards. It needs a better indication of front and back.
Summary: Just got my Bose Solo today and in a word, it's "awesome". The sound is crystal clear with no distortion that fills my small living room area. Initially, I had ordered a ZVOX 220 as it was cheaper than the Bose Solo and customer reviews here on Amazon had it rated slightly better than the Bose.
Summary: I wanted a "system" for my bedroom. I hate when you go from station to station they are all at different volumes. I did not want to get a 6 speaker system with an equalizer because ... it's my friggin bedroom.
