Solved a huge problem...didn't have to hard-wire the rear speakers
10 March 2013
Summary: I was trying to reconnect the rear speakers to my Bose Lifestyle Accoustimass 10 (circa. 2001) without having to run speaker wires to the rear of my family room. This transmitter/receiver combination did the trick. You connect the transmitter to the subwoofer and then connect your rear speakers to the receiver. Plug each device into the wall for power and your good to go. Definitely a good alternative to running a fully wired system.
Summary: this is a simple to use wireless setup. note this is sold for 5.1 systems which it works great but i used 2 of them and have 4 speakers on them for a 7.1 system each unit controls 2 channels independently.
Summary: This is an excellent Bose extension to avoid wire running across the room. So far, I have not felt any quality issue with the sound coming out of the surround satellite speakers. It has power saving mode when not in use. Note that it is only compatible with Bose system.
Summary: After pulling the SL2 from the box, I had my rear surround speakers working in no time. Just connected the speaker wire, plugged in the receiver and transmitter, and voila... wireless sound in the rear of my family room.
Pros: Consistent Performance, Easy Setup, Easy to install
