Summary: We really like this system. The surround sound is great and music is good also. Not worth 4000 but at a lower price point it will fill a large room with good sound. If you can find it at a lower price buy it.
Summary: All is fine, music, sound, quality and shipping very fast. One only problem is the different voltage between USA (110 volt) and Italy (220 volt): for many money that we paid for this bose system, i think it would be much better if all components were made in dual voltage
Summary: I didn't really compare this to other home theatre systems. I have noticed you can buy other systems for about 1/10 of the cost of this. However, when I demo'd this system @ Bose, I was impressed enough to spring for the extra bux. It's a great system. Can you get equal quality for less $$? I don't know.
Summary: Bought a system from friend but missing the audio input cable, center speaker and four speaker grills. Called Bose customer service spoke with Brian and he was patient with me going through my problem. Put my order in and arrived on time but with wrong input cable again called Bose and Mario this time answered when through the process he was able to find the right cable and here's the best thing Mario found out the price differential and gave me the credit.
Summary: I bought my Lifestyle 48 a little over one year ago. The system sounds and works great and I enthusiastically give it a 5 star rating. Setup was a breeze. I agree with much of what Philippe "Phil Reviewer of things" said in his review. I am using Comcast cableTV and had no problems connecting the system to my Sony XBR using the VS-2 video enhancer.
Summary: I bought this Bose series because I have an old and simplest one with FM/AM Radio and now I can have better sound with many components to link with.I am surprised how it works. It's a very "intelligent" system, it makes all the work to link any other sound system. In summary, I am very satisfied with it and I could recommend it absolutely.I love Bose quality.
