Summary: I purchased this product back in 2002 for a hefty sum. I used it for about 3 years, and then moved and never got around to setting it back up. After sitting in my basement for 10 years, I finally got around to putting it back up. I did some research on the product in todays market, and everyone said that it is an overpriced piece of junk. Having the price I paid be a sunk cost, I couldn't really factor it into my thoughts about the product.
Summary: Good unit. Has Adapt-IQ system with microphones that you put on your head and it adjusts that system specifically to where you watch TV the most. It makes "Sweet Spot" listen zones, by adjusting all six speakers accordingly. Wonderful customer service. They sent 3 free DVD rentals from Blockbuster and a music DVD as a thank you for running the recent software patch.
Summary: Love This system. Fairly easy to set up. Had to call Bose to help on a few things but they were very nice and cooperative in the set up. I also bought the speaker stands so I wouldn't have to put holes in my walls and they are super easy to set up as well. Great sound. Worth the money. Have to get used to the sound coming from behind.
Summary: This Bose Home Theatre is awesome. It more than satisfied my expectations. The sounds are crisp and clear, and the ressonance is out of site. This is the way to hear sound, whether as music or speech. The seller was particularly courteous, and kept to his promise with the delivery date. I remain very grateful.
Summary: This is the third time we have purchased the Bose Lifestyle System. We enjoy the ease of use and quality of the product. Would highly recommend this system if you want DVD/CD capability built into the system.
Summary: I purchased this item in 2007 when HDMI was relatively new. Setup was a breeze, the sound was great and it worked very well for 2 1/2 years at which point the CD/DVD player started having read errors. I called Bose and they said it would be $165 to repair it (with a new 1 year warranty) and to add HDMI I could buy a box to connect to the Lifestyle for $300.
