Excerpt: I used it for setting up a media monitoring centre, and the audio output is good. The tuner comes ON to normalcy after any power fluctions (Ideal for rack mount operations). Highly recommended for any one. the Money part is a great deal....
Summary: This is a nice little tuner. It would be nice to have a headphone jack and a volume control, but man, it was only about $75. Looks good, sounds good, & simple. Does have a funky FM antenna input - I found that a push-on F-connector works fine. I don't care about the rack mounts.
Summary: I can't rate this item, because it did not work when I received it and I think about to send it back to Amazon. The feedback from Amazon were prompt and offered me 2 options, to send it back or talk to Pyle direct. The problem is that I am in Australia and Pyle and Amazon are in the US and I can't talk to anyone locally.
Summary: Rack mount brackets are crap...used some slightly longer sheet metal screws and tapped holes bigger, now they are on the unit sturdy. Reception is poor even with strong stations, bought an antenna that cost almost as much as the tuner itself which mostly resolved the problem. The antenna connector...my gosh, what were they thinking, I bought a little 3 dollar adapter from amazon to make it a screw on type..
Summary: Having no other method of controlling this tuner means it has to be purchased with the Amp it was designed for, or dont bother unless you want to be standing next to it and using your index finger. As part of the sales pitch is that its rack mount, i would assume most people would want it to be controlled via remote of some type or a home automation system. No can do. An OEM device or nothing!
Pros: Havent used it.
Cons: Cant control by any other method then a separate amp, no remote.
