Summary: THIS RADIO LOOKS GOOD ON THE INTERNET BUT VERY PLASTIC/FAKE LOOKING. SOUND IS HORRIBLE. CAN'T EVEN TUNE IN STATIONS. CD WORKED FOR 2 WEEKS. I'VE NOW GOT A RADIO BOAT ANCHOR FOR $100 THAT DOES NOT WORK. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Summary: I was looking for a shelf radio with decent looks and found it with this Crosley. The sound quality is not that great and it is difficult to read the labels above the buttons but it meets the minimal need I was looking for.
Summary: The cabinet looks great and fits well in the limited space we had available for it. The sound is average which is to be expected on on a standard radio. The tuner is below average and hard to pickup stations. We finally found the station the wife listens to during the day and we don't move it. I have not tried the CD player yet but I feel safe to assume that it works fine.
Summary: I GOT THIS FOR MY PARENTS WHO ARE 80 AND 81 FOR THEIR ANNIVERSARY. THEY FLIPPED FOR IT AND THOUGHT IT WAS UNIQUE. THE CD PLAYER DIDN'T WORK, YOU CAN'T READ THE OPTIONS ON THE METAL PLATE (PLAY, STOP, ETC.) AND THE POWER CORD IS SEPARATE AND BULKY. THE PART THAT GETS PLUGGED IN IS SO LARGE THAT IT'S HARD TO FIT ON A SHELF IF YOU WANT TO TUCK IT BEHIND THE RADIO. IT'S TOO BAD BECAUSE IT WAS A PERFECT GIFT FOR THEM. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT'S ON ITS WAY BACK TO QVC.
Summary: A one star rating is too much for this piece of garbage. As soon as I opened the box I put in a CD and it wouldn't read it. The only reason I bought it was to play CD's. So not only did I pay $150.00 for something that doesn't work, in order to "hopefully" get my money back I had to pay another $54.00 to ship it back to Amazon! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM AMAZON AGAIN!
A Nice Antique Looking Radio but the built-in CD Player on the Front Ruins the Authentic Look
DWA "Keeping Radio Alive", Amazon
31 January 2013
Summary: This is a nice looking reproduction radio. It is HUGE. Good reception on both AM and FM bands. Audio from the 2 side speakers is nothing special, about average and good enough. The built-in CD player works the way it should. The CD player in the front, the electronic red LED CD track display and all the buttons that operate the CD player does take away the authentic look that radios had back in those days. It easily shows that it is a replica and not an original.
