Summary: got this as a "replacement in kind" for my old sub wolfer; it turned out to be significantly better. As an old guy watching movies at home, I didn't think the quality of the subwolfer mattered much; but I realize now that you get a much more "theater like" experience with a better one.
Summary: Can't beat it for the money. Attractive, great sound and easy hookup. I use it with a Yamaha a/v receiver to watch movies and listen to most all types of music, including classical. Sounds great! I plan buying another one.

Summary: This is a good subwoofer. I use it with a Yamaha rx 373 receiver. It's my first Subwoofer i have ever bought and is much.... much better than anything you'll get in most surround package deal's like the 100 watt 6.5 sub that came with my receiver which is an absolute p.o.s really.
Summary: I'm not a audiophile but my old school JBL PB12 may have a lil more "warmth" as far as the overall bass. This sub work very well though. I really like the advanced auto on/off feature; that's what caused the failure of the switch on my JBL.
Summary: Thia subwoofer works just fine with my Yamaha RX-A2020 in my media room (19'x13'x9'). The bass is solid and clear. The control in the front is functional and a neat feature. It is of good value.
