Summary: I'm not a audiophile but my old school JBL PB12 may have a lil more "warmth" as far as the overall bass. This sub work very well though. I really like the advanced auto on/off feature; that's what caused the failure of the switch on my JBL.
Summary: Thia subwoofer works just fine with my Yamaha RX-A2020 in my media room (19'x13'x9'). The bass is solid and clear. The control in the front is functional and a neat feature. It is of good value.
Summary: Purchased a 2nd Sw-315 Yamaha sub to run dual subs for surround system. Nice clear bass, solid low freq. punch, puts a little Thunder in the floor! Cabinets are solid and well built. Great product from Yamaha!
Summary: Does require some break-in period. Works well for both music and movies. Auto off/on is kinda sensitive. It turns off sub if volume plays low. It should be configured to stay on as long as there is a signal coming in.
Summary: This little beauty really delivers a lot of punch to almost any TV show or movie. It's not just the obvious booms, bangs and barrages it delivers so well that makes me love this sub. It's the more subtle low-frequency rumblings--idling engines, closing doors, street noises-- that add to the feeling of "being in the show". Great speaker, great price! BTW, the box for my original order arrived in a pretty sad condition.
Summary: This subwoofer was bought used from Amazon Warehouse. The subwoofer is well made and the piano gloss finish is gorgeous. The reason I returned was that the bass sound was not as clean as I wanted for the Martin Logan Motion 40 floor speakers and the Martin Logan Motion 30 central speaker. Finally I went ahead and ordered the Subwoofer 700 from Martin Logan. I am expecting a good outcome from the blend of these speakers. The new subwoofer 700 was purchased from Amazon.
