Summary: I ordered this "like new" from Amazon Warehouse. It arrived by USPS priority mail, badly damaged in its opened box. I refused delivery. I then ordered a new one, even though the new price had increased significantly. I told Amazon of my problem. It did two things; 1) it shipped the second subwoofer super fast, and 2) it refunded me the difference in price between the second and first subwoofer. Wow! Now that is customer service!
Summary: The actual dimensions are 14.3x11.7x12.11 (HxWxD) and weighs only 25.6lbs, so it is smaller than listed here. This has turned out to be a perfect addition to my 2.1 setup with my computer audio system in my 12x12 office/den. My desktop equipment consists of an HP Pavillion dv7 Entertainment PC, Audioengine D1 DAC, Audioengine N22 integrated amp and Polk Rti4 speakers.
Summary: I have a 5.1 sound system in my living room, and This subwoofer has power enough for that, and it could give more. Easy to setup. It gives a soft bass, so it is perfect for slow/romantic music.
Summary: I buyed this sub in Adorama.com, because Amazon is unable to send this to México, this little guy have big performance in my 13x13 room, I'm very impressed by the clear and big have bass that this guy makes, I'm a rock fan with technician skills, Yamaha will not disapointed to you, definitively is a very good purchase, not five I give 10 stars to Yamaha !!!!!!!!
Summary: I was looking for a subwoofer for a small bedroom TV/computer hookup to augment the low frequencies that were lacking from my small wall-mounted speakers (Polk R10s in the front, Polk RT/FXs in the rear). The room is only 12' x 12' & I really didn't need anything large that would blow the windows out. This sub seemed like it would fit the bill. With the crossover set to around 80Hz & the volume set to about 12 o'clock, the sub fills in quite nicely without booming.
Summary: I have added this subwoofer to a pair of bookshelf B&W 685 speakers, powered by a Harmon Kardon HK3490 stereo amplifier, with excellent results. I set it up with 2 line inputs and adjusted as recommended in the manual. The sensitivity switch on the Auto On feature was useful. This subwoofer provides an excellent musical extension to the sound. The secret to a seamless sound is not to overdrive the subwoofer (10-11 o'clock position on the volume control).
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
