Features

The Yamaha YST-SW205 features Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology (Advanced YST) system which the speaker and amplifier work together to cancel out impedance so the speaker unit has an accurate linear motion. It is said to help ensure the highest levels of sound pressure and overall performance. It features 8 inches driver and 150 watts PWM Amplifier where the high amplifier power delivers movie theatre-like bass effects and the down firing 8 inches long stroke cone driver translates the power into clear bass sound. The Front Panel Controls allows the subject to see the settings and make necessary adjustments. The slim-line design measures the subwoofer at 9-1/4 inches wide. The frequency range is of 20 to 160 Hz. The BASS (Bass Action Selector Switch) tailors to the subwoofer’s output for video or music with a switch. This subwoofer has magnetic shielding which allows it to be placed near a TV monitor or receiver without degrading the picture. The Yamaha YST-SW205 features continuous variable high-cut filter which sets the frequency from 20 Hz to 160 Hz which allows the subwoofer’s output to be matched to the other speakers in the system and the room’s acoustics. It offers volume control where it permits matching of the subwoofer’s output to the overall volume of the system. It also features signal sensing circuit where it turns the power on when an audio signal is detected. The phase normal/reverse switch allows subwoofer to be phased with the other speakers in the audio system. Dual Inputs has the subwoofer to accept either line level or speaker level input signals. The Yamaha YST-SW205 features three-way speaker terminals by accepting banana plug and a variety of other connectors as well as speaker wire. It offers cabinet which is constructed of thick MDF for rigidity and reduction of vibration and resonance.
