Small but powerful sound

M. Johnson "mrsoulMark", Amazon
21 March 2014
  • Summary: Small size, works great with my Yamaha sound bar. The family was quite impressed, including my wife who rolled her eyes when I talked about getting this for about 1 year. The sound from our entertainment system took leaps and bounds forward in depth with the added subwoofer. Great Yamaha product. Highly recommended. Prime shipping!

becoming an audiophile? (again?)

Mark P Walker, Amazon
1 March 2014
  • Summary: I used to be into stereos and all when younger, but the subwoofer was usually integrated into the one or two speakers. Now I have finally discovered surround sound for my new big TV, and decided I needed more low end. This speaker 'thumps' nicely and lends more reality to the movies, and better quality for my music. Tympani sound better when you can let them out of the cabinet!

Small & Powerful. Love it!

Jeffrey Michael Kent, Amazon
10 November 2013
  • Summary: I've had a stereo surround sound system with no subwoofer for years. My small, cape cod style living room has plaster walls and hardwood floors, so I knew I didn't need anything large. I just wanted to add a little bass without breaking the bank. This speaker is GREAT. It has it's own power switch and volume control for perfect balancing.

Great for small bookshelf speakers

William W. Smith, Amazon
22 October 2013
  • Summary: I use this sub with a pair of psb Alpha powered speakers which have a tap for a subwoofer. I liked the small speakers but they were definitely lacking in bass. I don't need huge thumping bass, so I skipped the 12-inch version of this speaker. With a simple connection (long wire with RCA plugs at each end), I was up and running in no time.

Excellent, affordable subwoofer

A. Reviewer, Amazon
18 September 2013
  • Summary: Lets clear things right away. This should not be your first choice for ground rumbling bass. For that, you would probably want something a little bigger. This is, however a perfect choice for those of us who live in apartments and don't wont to get on the bad side of our neighbors. Remember though, bass travels through walls easier than other higher frequencies.

Good bass for a small affordable subwoofer

caclark74, Amazon
18 August 2013
  • Summary: I paired this subwoofer with a Vizio SB4020E-A0 sound bar and they work great and sound amazing together. I set the volume knob on the back of the subwoofer to 75% and control the volume through my sound bar's remote control.. Very nice. Bass is pretty impressive for an 8 inch woofer. Movies and television sound great and so does music playback. It isn't real punchy on music's bass drum but it certainly rattles the windows if cranked up.
