Summary: I've been using a Velodyne sub with our theater equipment for 15 years. When I finally had the ability to set up a man cave in my basement, I naturally wanted Velodyne to provide the bass. This time I opted for 2 subs. Once again they are awesome! With the room & setup I have, I only have the volume on the subs at 12. Even in a 20x15 room, they provide a solid amount of crisp pounding bass. The freeway scene from Transformers 3 is great!
Summary: I am not a picky when it comes to my audio components, I have an older Sony receiver that I have been using with some KLH speakers. I don't have high end audio equipment but my ears are satisfied. When I installed the Velodyne 80, it was a ridiculous improvement in bass output, the bass was solid, clean, and more powerful. I like the flexibility of having the remote, now that we have an infant, I can easily turn down the output when the baby goes to sleep.
Summary: I'm used to listening to my audio "dry" through studio monitors but often coveted the full depth of sounds that only a subwoofer can give. This one is deep without the distortion and buzzing. It's smooth. It's like Barry White to the max, ooohh yeah. I can't believe I listened to audio without a real subwoofer for all these years. Setup is simple because if you're intimidated by all the equalizing and customizing, there's a remote to help you through the process.
Summary: Velodyne 80-EQMM10BV EQ-Max 10-Inch Subwoofer It's very easy to set up. The sound is powerful and the bass sounds awesome. It's clean and smooth and a quality product. Other reviews provide great information, as does their website.
Summary: We already own a really good 10" Subwoofer that we like a lot but I was thrilled to get to try this one as well. Our other Subwoofer set the bar high but this Subwoofer had no problem meeting my high standards. We have watched a couple dozen movies with this Subwoofer and it certainly has the power to shake every window in the house without the volume even being high. This Subwoofer complements our sound system very well and sounds excellent.
Summary: Pros The Auto EQ mode works really well. Every room is different and every placement is different. I have had quiet a few receivers have a similar function and it really does to well at setting the response curve. Neato. Installation is super easy. Plug it into the wall. Plug it into your receiver, run the auto eq. Enjoy. Looks great. Its a sub, so it's a big black box - true - but the front grill looks nice and classy. The sound coming out of this is nice and clean.
Summary: The Velodyne - EQMax 10'' Subwoofer offers superb sound for any home entertainment system. Plus, it works for karaoke or other types of musicianship since this speaker has the capacity to connect with virtually any PA system. The sound is clean, deep, and rich; we are very pleased. The only challenge here is the set up, unless you have someone familiar with plug arrangement.
Summary: I am so happy with this subwoofer. We have a big screen tv and with this product to go along with our sound system, you would swear you were in a theatre with the fantastic sound. I am a big fan of musicals and the classic older films. I can also listen to my cd's on this system, and I love it. It will not disappoint. I would highly recommend this, even though I was not familiar with Velodyne products.
Summary: I hooked this directly to the TV (audio cables are not included). Installation is easy (electrical cord and audio cable). It self-adjusts to where you place it in the room (corner, center, or side wall mount). You can set the angle for projection (0, 90, 180, 270). Make sure it is off when you make all the connections (or re-plug them in). What amazed me was everything that a regular TV speaker does not project (or I cannot hear without this speaker).
