Summary: All I can say is WOW this sub is fantastic! I have it hooked up to a Sony STR-DN840 and the sub gain set at 12 oclock. Watched the movie John Wick and my house shook whenever the pistol was fired. Even the DirecTV channels sound amazing (commercials too). Initially I had a low quality LFE cable hooked up from receiver to sub, but ordered a cable from Monoprice.com (Product # 6305) and it made a huge difference.
Summary: Replaced a Wharfedale subwoofer I used while living overseas which was a 220 volt unit -- got sick of having to use a transformer and the 60Hz buzz it produced. Bought this SVS subwoofer after reading reviews and it is excellent. Only issue was that it was dead on arrival -- no sound.
Summary: No other way to say it, this kicks butt, I have a 7.1 system definitive across the front (bp8060st) warlfdale and paradigm. when I added this sub to my system The local theater seemed to move in. some people may see this as a cheap sun, some may think it insane, but me , I think this sub takes my system to a new level, my system is in the 5k range, I have never heard a better sub anywhere my range
Summary: Awesome product and sounds great but not good enough for my large living room area. My living room is large because it is combined with an open kitchen and an open dining room. The sub beats great but not the right type of rumble for my open kitchen, living room, and open dining room combo. For instance, the lows can't replay classical music clearly from an orchastra. The base comes out muddy or broken when I turn it too high.
