Summary: Awesome product and sounds great but not good enough for my large living room area. My living room is large because it is combined with an open kitchen and an open dining room. The sub beats great but not the right type of rumble for my open kitchen, living room, and open dining room combo. For instance, the lows can't replay classical music clearly from an orchastra. The base comes out muddy or broken when I turn it too high.

Summary: I am not going to waste any time writing one of these long reviews as I would be repeating what everyone else has said. What you are going to get is a great sub for a great price. You aren't going to want to spend any less. I was looking to spend about $300 and after about a month of researching and reading reviews and without even hearing it I had to have this. I really can't believe the power this 10" sub packs for my theater. No disappointments here.
Summary: I have only messed with budget subs prior to buying this one which is also considered a budget sub but none came close to the SVS. I've had friends family come over and ask me what size sub am I running and they are surprised that a 10' can produce great bass and not that muddy bass you would normally get from 300 subs out there.
Summary: Using with a Polk inwall speaker system. Could not be more pleased with the results. Bass is strong but smooth. It has no problems filling a large room (24x20). My previous bass would bottom out and get distorted. This one can shake the room but with clear, crisp sounds.
Summary: I won't go into great detail with this review; suffice it to say the PB1000 is the best audio upgrade I ever made. It delivers as much low frequency punch as I will ever need in my (1,500 cubic-foot) home theater room, and the detail is superb. I now understand why SVS is able to offer a 45-day return policy. Who would ever want to send it back? I was reluctant to spend $500 to replace a sub that cost less than half that amount, but I now consider it money well spent.
Summary: I recently purchased this sub directly from SVS and love it so far!! It's exactly how SVS describes it on their site: "Deep bass that doesn't require deep pockets. The most forceful, detailed bass you can get for under $500." Perfect way to quickly describe the performance of this sub! My wife and I are very impressed with the forceful and detailed bass....movies, U-verse HDTV shows and music never sounded better and impactful!
Summary: Recently upgraded to the SVS PB-1000 from a Martin Logan Dynamo 500 sub that has a higher MSRP and utilizes the same size driver. The difference is incredible! For the price, this is hands down the best sub on the block. If you are thinking about spending $250 - $350 on a sub, don't! Even if you can get a Martin Logan on sale or a BIC for a good price, You will regret not spending the extra money up front and getting this unit.
Summary: Really, its huge. The sound quality is very crisp, but the size really limited the placement options in my room. Also, if you DO have such a large room that the size doesn't bother you, you'll probably need more than a 10" sub anyway. BUT for the price its got excellent crispness.
Summary: This subwoofer will shake your house and could possibly broke your windows. I'm so glad I purchased this subwoofer. It is so good with my 5.1 surround system. The price is so cheap even at retail price. Get it, you will be happy that you didn't get the cheaper subs in the 200 to 300 range. Don't miss out on this sub if you love to watch movies.
