Features

The Sony Subwoofer SA-W3000 features Bass Reflex enclosure type of subwoofer with 180 watts amplified subwoofer (6 Ohms, 80 Hz and 10% THD). The Bass Reflex enclosure extends the bass cut off point by venting some of the energy from inside the duct to the outside. Materials such as longhair wool or fiberglass batting is placed inside the duct is said to increase the speakers’ sensitivity, frequency and output level. It also features auto power on where it turns the power on when an audio signal is detected. The phase control switch allows subwoofer to be phased with the other speakers in the audio system. The subwoofer offers 12 inches of Mica Reinforced Cellular Woofer which is said to allow crank up of the bass level for cinematic effects. In addition to this, the 12 inches Mica-Reinforced cellular woofer is also said to be able to reach down to 20 Hz with Motion Feed Back Technology. The Sony Subwoofer SA-W3000 features removable cloth type front grill at the subwoofer. It offers SS Terminal and RCA Pin type of inputs at the subwoofer. This subwoofer has magnetic shielding which allows it to be placed near a TV monitor or receiver without degrading the picture. It features high-cut filter which sets the frequency from 50 Hz to 200 Hz which allows the subwoofer’s output to be matched to the other speakers in the system and the room’s acoustics.
