Summary: I have had this for a couple of years now and I am a music enthusiast. I replaced a wonderful JBL sub and speakers when I switched to Polk Audio. I love the speakers but the week link in clearly in this sub.
Summary: The first unit arrived and the volume would spike and fade intermittently. The problem became more frequent when the volume knob was touched. Amazon is an authorized reseller so Polk replaced it no questions asked. Fixing the speaker was a pretty painless process.
Summary: I got this for free in an Amazon/Polk offer - buy over $500 of Polk / get the sub free. The subwoofer is incredibly clean - but can't quite keep up with the rest of my system (Onkyo HT-SR875 and Polk Monitor series in a 5.1 config).
Summary: We have been using product for 4 weeks. I believe that since we have a very large open floor plan (24 x 40), the subwoofer does not give the "punch" I was hoping for. However it does sound good, and is an improvement over what we had.
Summary: Polk is a good brand name for speakers. My home theater system is all Polk (TSI400, CS20 and TSI200s). However, Polk's subwoofer aren't as good. Although this sub is tight for music, movies tend to be a bit boomy. My old Onkyo 990THX subwoofer which this sub replaced performed better than this sub.
